Only for one year though a/man which I find interesting for such a young player. Obviously he wants to keep his options open after next season.

Freo ony offered him a year.

I am very happy he is staying because I think he will really develope into a very important player in the next few years. Why he only signed for one year I am not sure, but it could be that he is confident of big improvement next year and will get a far better contract then. I listened to him in an interview just after the signing and he said the one year was a mutual decision between him and the club, who knows, but glad he is here next year at least.

Fremantle are not stupid I am sure they have had a candid interview with him about any future desires he might have about going home to Victoria to play with his brother at Collingwood. I think he will be more value to us in the draft in the next year or two as he shows his wares.
