The weekends results stems a lot from what I have been talking about. By my count the only non-regular players playing were Crozier and Sheridan. All other guys playing appear on a regular or semi-regular (eg Bradley, Clarke, Silvagni, Crighton, Neale etc) basis.

The only blokes missing were from Starting Line-Up were:
Pavlich
Barlow
Hill
Sandilands
Dawson

I am very concerned, as either Carlton are on fire and are a Top 4 team (which I dont believe they are).... OR we are need to pull our finger out or we can quickly find ourselves dropping off the pace.

Call me unrealistic, but I dont believe the 4 players (excluding sandi who is injured) will make up 70pts come round 1. Definitely improvement is needed immediately from our list before we embark on the tough first 5 games.

Crozier and Neale both appeared last year.. Neale for a prolonged period. Accept that they are young, but they are our depth at the present.

Agreed with Pitt (dreadful disappointment), Sheridan (young) and Smith (first yr).

Just have a flick through Carlton's team on the weekend...... it was hardly full strength. McPharlin summed it up today saying that the attitude was poor.

As I said to you the other week, the Dockers have a continual habit of having a good season backed up by a poor season. I am yet to see any signs to date that we will be having a good season in 2013.

Going by whats been said here we will finish on the bottom with Sydney and Hawthorn who have played just as badly as us.

Yeah you gotta laugh at these people taking anything out of a scratch match, Freo played the Crows the week before in 38 degree heat with a squad of 25 against the Crows squad of 30.

What a coincidence that the Crows were beaten by Geelong by the same margin as Freo were against the Blues, Lyon has never taken the NAB cup seriously even lost the last game of the same comp in 2009 by 15 goals with the saints and end up losing 3 games in that season, he is not one to show his cards i'm confident the Derby will be a complete different performance that we saw against the Blues.

Full strength today or close to it. Looks like the Bulldogs are bringing a pretty strong side over. Reckon Lower will be more than handy for them.

These games are purely about getting time into the players legs, trying some young guys and maybe trying some players in different positions to test their versatility.
You will see a much improved performance in two weeks time, as it should be.
