I think that the Neeshies are holding the cards in this one. But it seems that almost every time, the player wanting to return home gets his wish. I just wonder what Fremantle will offer up to make GWS allow the trade.

I think that the Dockers would have to give up something substantial to get Mccarthy but now that Schoenmakers appears to want to stay at Hawthorn, a key forward would be a priority. I am thinking a high draft pick plus a player of the calibre of Michael Barlow, Chris Mayne or Hayden Ballantyne. What do you think?

Barlow is slowing down, so I cant see them accepting that deal.
Mayne's form hasn't been good, but I rate him. His 2013 was outstanding so he has it in him. And Ballantyne is a dockers lovechild. Cant see them giving him up, though I cant see why. Walters is far more effective than Ballantyne these days.

But they will have to give up something good, or GWS wont budge its that simple.

Is McCarthy as good everyone is giving him credit for ?

And on forwards, Taberner, for mine took a big step backwards this year. Thoughts ?

Be interested if Freo get Mason Shaw on their list, struggled at Port I know, but surely at home he might flourish.....yeah Taberner just seems unable to take his marks, especially in finals....wonder if Hannath will be on the table, seems to of stagnated as well.

Barlow is so slow now he would just not cut it.
Maynes form in the last year or two has been so poor its ditto
The hobbit is rapidly losing value , regardless he is a purple love child as someone else said so would be quarantined.

I reckon Mundy is the only one GWS would consider.

so what! he is still yet to prove himself.. As for tabener he doesn't need to work on his body to catch a ball it's more his mental application by saying "I'm going to mark this". Bit like sandilands if he wanted to mark everything he could but unfortunately he doesn't.. Whereas fyfe just says watch this I'll mark it no matter what because he is so mentally strong.. It's like tackling, you either want to or don't.. It's an attitude thing..

It would seem now that Fremantle could hold all the cards in what he is worth to the Neeshies. That is unless the Eagles decide to throw a spanner in the works and make a play for him.If that happens then it could get to a bidding war over him.If that happens then the Neeshies once again will hold the power of how much he is worth.
At the moment he is training with South Fremantle and is close to home.I am not sure if he has been allowed to get into physical training at Souths. He was barred from taking part in man on man training drills.
Hopefully he stands by his want to come home and to the club he asked to be traded to,Fremantle.

I work with a relative of his he ain't going back.

Spot on PN he definitely wont be going back. Still cant believe GWS didn't take the very generous offer Freo put up....and now they'll get very little.

He hardly looks like an imposing Key forward. I think he should have played out his contract and don't want him at the Dockers.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Giants hold the key as he signed on til end of 2017. Giants can raffle him in this seasons pre draft OR he stands out next year but then the bottom team can pick him up for 2018.
