What I want to know is why the hell is all the talk about which Melbourne club he will play for next year? Or is this just the powerful Melbourne media at play here looking after their own? It is alarming they were saying last night that Hawthorn were a front runner to secure his services. Surely Fremantle will be throwing the kitchen sink at him and surely playing at home where he is close to family is a factor. FFS how many more key position players are we going to fail to lure?

He's obviously had some issues to deal with terror but he's a proven key forward, something that Fremantle have been crying out for for several years now and we almost had him a few years ago. I think he's still only 26 or 27. I can guarantee you there are plenty of clubs that will be keen to get him. Got no problem if he wants to return to Melbourne FC but I couldn't stomach it if he ends up at another club, especially someone like Hawthorn who are the best team in the comp at the moment.

Listen to Lyons latest press conference he was asked about Clark and his reply was Mitch had the chance to join the Dockers and he knocked it back, you have to listen to the way he said it to me it sounded like there's no chance.

When you finish top four or 6 3 years in a row you miss out on the top talent in the draft.
