The Bulldogs played quite well I thought. A few key players like Ryan Griffen and Bob Murphy out.

I think Hunter is going to be a fantastic footballer as he matures. He has a real footy head about him.

Goodes is an old school footy player in style - lot to like about him.

I tend to agree with Kingy, the Dogs are starting to get it together, and Macca Pacca is doing a good job.

Another couple of seasons - the dogs are coming.

anchorman wrote: A much better performance from the Dockers tonight. But still a long way to get back up to last years standard.Made a lot of mistakes, dropped marks, fumbles, turn overs, but managed a win.Doesn't mean much but was good to see some semblance of team work tonight.
Better players for mine were,Walters, Mundy,Sandilands,Mzungu,Pavlich,Johnson,Duffield.
Also good to see the young boys go ok,Tom Sheridan and Sutcliffe both did some good things and will get better as the season rolls on.Hannath looked like he worked hard but needs to get stronger in contests.
Was good to see nick Suban back in the game.He looked good.Stephen Hill had his moments.
Mundy seemed to shift another gear when the game looked in the balance. He will be a real plus for us again this year.
Pavlich looked good taking 11 marks.I also thought that the introduction of Chris Mayne at half time gave us some grunt up forward as well.
Must also make mention of Lachie Neale,he will be a full time part to our side this year, most impressive.

Over all just another scratch match but an improved performance.

Anchorman sounds like Gumbleton's done another hammy...3 to 4 weeks out.

yes anchorman I wouldn't have even been concerned about that 80 point loss to the eagles. practice games have zero meaning in terms of results. so many things are tried by coaches . at least I am hoping this theory to be true given norths start. but I think we will be better this year.

I am sure fremantle will be very strong. some good units down there these days. young walters impresses me a lot. He could have a huge year.

Dockers are cherry ripe for the start of the season. Look for a big game first up and they will set a high standard the rest of the year.
