Anchorman since you are the most vocal, possibly the only supporter of the host club alignment, could you please explain why the Freo rookie player Alex Howson, who normally plays at East Fremantle, played for Swan Districts against Peel in the reserves on Saturday?

It seems an extroadinary decision for him to play for Swans rather than play for Peel for two reasons. The first is that there is an host club alignment between Peel and the Dockers. Secondly, the custom is for a player who would normally have a bye plays for the lowest placed reserves' team playing unless there is a conflict such as a Dockers' aligned player playing for East Perth or an Eagles' aligned player playing for Peel.

Could it be, and he played an excellent game for us kicking 4 goals 1, that the Dockers thought that if he played for Peel's reseves he may not have got a kick. A COMPLETE PROSTITUTION of their supposed host club alignment and the level of disdain and disregard they have for what is supposed to be an harmonious, respectful and beneficial partneship.

Let this be a warning that what happened on Saturday in both the reserves' game and what has been reported in Peel's league game is a precursor for things that wil be the norm next year with the host club alignment.

You are wasting your time asking a WAFL question to you know who 42 you will never get an answer only that they will take the opposite view to those of us in the know!! B)

And Max Duffy was playing for Peel's Reserves team to even it up I might add!

I could be wrong here but my understanding is if their actual club has the bye and there is more than one player in this situation then one plays in the lowest i.e. Peel, then the other plays in the next lowest and so on. Howson ended up playing for SD and Jacob Brennan ended up at Subi.

Obviously the teams agreed on the situation, or it would not have happened.
But really I couldn't give a fat rats clacker about it happening. It is just another reason for you bloke to moan and whinge like old chooks.

The point I was making A/man is that what happened on Saturday with respect to Alex Howson is another demonstration of the complete prostitution of the WAFL competition by the Eagles and Dockers and their complete contempt for the WAFL competition.

It will be interesting next year when the Dockers and the Eagles won't be able to play any of their players for teams other than Peel and the club formerly known as East Perth respectively.

As for your disingenuous comment about 'moan and whinge like old chooks' it is interesting to note that where we point out the obvious shortcomings of the host club alignment and the damage it has done and will continue to do to the WAFL competition you treat those comments with disdain.

You have made the complaint that people on this site do not back up their comments with facts. How about you supply some of 'your facts' to show that the host club will be be beneficial to the WAFL cluns and competition.

from my observations, Anchorman is pretty much the only AFLer on this site.

His priorites are clearly with his AFL Team the Dockers, as are the vast majority of footy fans in WA.

On this site - we in the main have a group of WAFL hearted people including you and me Swan42.

Swan42, people like Anchorman just do not have any concern for the impact on WAFL, if the host club deals makes the dockers more powerfull then they are happy.

Once you accept that canyon like difference in standing then you know why we are pissing in the wind...so too speak.

Swan we have done this to death at least a thousand times ,both here and on Goss why go over and over and over and over etc etc etc......................
You got your views I got mine we both know where we stand so so try to debate what has been debated many many times before, many many times before many many times before etc etc etc.................

As I am a supporter of both the Swan Districts Football Club abd also Labor I am used to the challenges associated implicit in that support. However, you have made, to quote you, many, many, many things with respect to the WAFL competition, Grant Dorrignton etc during our discussions on this site and on the other site.

What you have singurlarly failed to do is to acknowledge the damage being done and will continue to be done by both the Eagles and the Dockers. Whilst it is certainly your right to hold such a position, and further to express that view, you should equally accept our right to articulate our views and to continue to articulate our views even though you may think it is over.

anchorman wrote: Show me where at any time I have defended Grant Dorrington.I have asked questions of you and your other cohorts about whether he was wrong all the time but show me where I have stood up for him.
I don't have to defend myself here to anyone.I have my views they are different to yours but doesn't make me wrong or even you right. It seems that if you have a differing view on this site you will be presecuted and belittled.
you know and I know that we have been over and over it many times,I gave my views on Goss when it was going so it is a waste of time energy and anything else to continue.
As to me being the only AFL supporter here, at least I have the courage to keep coming here to state my feelings about the AFL.There is one particular poster here who has had a few aliases, but stil refuses to say he is a Sydney Swans supporter. There are many here who have posted under different names from other sites so as they can't be identified, but at least I have been anchorman all the time.I never hide from the fact I am an AFL fan.I love to watch the best every week. There are many here who watch the AFL every week as well, but don't have the courage or balls to comment on it other than to make sly degrading comment on it.Are you all afraid that you will be seen as traitors to the WAFL!!!!!!
And also Swan I note no comment on the Rocks post from you.Maybe he does know more than you.You asked the question, the Rock answered it.

Perhaps you can show me where I have belittled you. With respect to Dorrington I posed the simple task of you stating his greatest achievement vis a vis the WAFC competition. You questioned the legitimacy of our criticism of him, hence the challenge.

I watch only a limited amount of the AFL primarily to see how the former Swan Districts players are going.

I was a Swan Districts supporter in the 1960s and continue to be a supporter to this day. My support will continue until I expire or Swans hopefully both of us have a long way to go before then.
