I was a bit surprised with the MRP findings. Thought Emberly would get a caution and Pav maybe 1 or 2 weeks. I have been watching footy for 50 years and used to absolutely love it. Still enjoy it to some degree but its just too sanitised now, whilst it is taxing on the body as far as wear and tear goes, the actual body contact now is almost gone and very difficult to understand all the new rules and cans and cant's. It is really pretty soft as far as body contact goes, more a game of netball than footy. In their endeavour to continually speed up the game, I think, in my mind anyway, they have gone from a unique game to a fairly average, almost boring at times, game of keep em off. I think rugby and other codes could take advantage of the current and continuing degradation of our game.

Waters got 6 weeks for what Pav did. They have eased up since that rule was first introduced.

I don't condone the rugby all in brawls as that's just a bunch of thugs swinging.

They have made our game too soft at the top level. The hits are still relevant at waafl level.

Agree about the WAFL Viper. They play harder than AFL, just not as fast.

You cannot make any contact with the head Anchorman, Pav had the option to not bump but he made the wrong choice, maybe because he has been out so long he forgot the rules? Big Sandi will step up this week so he wont be that big a loss..
