Yet another disappointing performance fromthe Freo boys on Saturday.Maybe they have beenr eading their own publicity.
Even the players have condemned the performance.
It is hard to work out how bad Fremantle were , or how good Melbourne were.
The Melbourne media were in raapures over Melbournes performance. Salivating maybe. And at the same time tearing Fremantle to pieces.
BUT.. ten points separated the two teaam at the final siren. It was a game in the end Fremantle could have won, and should have won. But didn't.
Another game in which they conceded far too maany RED TIME goals.RTG are killers for any team, but Fremantle seem to be the kings of them.
So many players did not respond well tot he pressure tht Melbourne placed on them.
The forward line pressure from Fremantle was almost non existant. They allowed the Dees players far too much room to run with the ball and take ground, and set up plays up forward.
Fremantle ploy, or so it seemed to me, was to let them out, then hope the back line took control to win back the ball.Sadly, that didn't work.
Fremantle must do much more forward of the ball tackle more and attack the opposition player with the ball.
Much needs to improve Friday night to remove the stain of Saturday.

I just cant see Longmuir as a premiership coach.

He doesnt seem to be able to motivate players.

Not sure he is tactically adept either.

" thinking" Fyffe and Walters will improve the side is fanciful, against the "strong" teams both will get found out

Just my 2 cents wirth

Sadly Fyfe may have played his last game for the Dockers. His body seems to be not up to it anymore. Walters will only get back in if there are injuries. Shai Bolton is the number 1 crumbing forward now
Ironical that Longmuir accuses his team of being 'soft" after losses. He really should look in the mirror

Unka2 and  mikeh, thanks for the responses.
Intereseting times ahead for the club.
It will be sad to see the ned of both Fyfe and Walters, Two great players for the club.
Sadly, it looks like Father Time and their bodies have caught up with them.
I havenever been a knocker of the coaches, I believe that so much comes from the effort, or lack of effort from the players, not the coach.
But bad results like the weekend appear to be an inbuilt thing for the club.
IF, and I mean , IF, the club decide to move Longmuir on and it seems lots want him gone this year, where and how do the club find a replacement at such short notice?
There will be talk of those like Longmire and Buckley, but they are mere pipe dreams. There is amount  of money to prise either of them away froomtheir comfort zone.Evn the thought of Hinkley is like the others. And I for one do not see his tyle of coaching needed at Fremantle.

It would have to be a local I am thinking. But is there any stand out!
Friday nights game will be a massive test for the team after the disappointment of Saturday.
