A massive game for both clubs this weekend, Derby number 60.
At the moment West Coast lead the count, 33 to 26.
Both teams seriousy need to win this one.And as we all know, the Eagles punished the Dockers in the firt derby last year.
Both teams will want to come out firing and it will be a tough hard fought game I am sure.
As a Docker supporter, I amwary of the result in this one.A game that Fremantle should win, but........
I am not sure Fremantle will make many changes, if any .But there would be some that after a couple of ordinary games to start the season, will be worried about their place in the team.
A warm, though not overly hot day forcast, 28c.
The  Docker selectors must be wishing hard for the return of  Hayden Young and Sean Darcy.
Both, at he moment are the missing links in my opinion.
Darcy is bbadly needed to be the number one ruck. He is vital to the Dockers success. He makes the game easier for the mids and on ballers.
Young is the hard at it tough smashing ball cleaerer that is need at stoppages.His run and penetrating ,raking left foot is need.
Fingers crossed for this weekend for me.

West Coast were much improved against Brisbane last Sunday. Not sure if they can back that up this weekened against the Dockers though. Dockers by plenty in this one.

There’s a lot more riding on this for Freo than the Eagles.  They’ve still got plenty of time to climb up the ladder, but they need to win this one.  Eagles main focus should be on improvement.  One thing’s for sure and I can’t see it happening, but if West Coast are still in the game at 3 quarter time, the Freo ring twitter will be louder than bear traps snapping.

A game that was a must win for Fremantle.A tussle that they made hard work of eventhough seemingly dominating the game.
Some good signs coming from the game. The massive improvement of O'Driscoll. He is filling in well for Young, and may even allow young to revert back to the half back line.
Erasmus, I thought played his best game in Purple.He looked alive and alert and looked at ease.
And a call out to Mat Johnson, who took the bull by the horns yesterday. He was impressive.
A promising start for Dudley. Kicked two early goals but provided plenty in his time on the ground. 13 possessions and 5 marks. And showed good vision and skills.
Murphy Reid showed once again he is class.19 possessions and 5 tackles.
Voss showed something with his aggression and marking. But needs to work on his goal kicking.
Jackson showed that he can play as number one ruck, but he has to learn to do it against the bigger bulkier rucks of the competition.
The Dockers probably should have won more comfortably than they did. Missed too many easy shot on goal.

Strangely it seems that that though the Eagles are in rebuild mode, Fremantle fielded a younger team than them.
