Fremantle have named Murphy Reid in their squad to play Geelong down at Alphabet Park on Saturday.
Reid was Fremantles first selection in last years draft.Recruited as a mid forward,with good speed, and strength.A, as they say in trade talk, slider,Fremantle were glad top see him still there whentheir selection came up.
Good luck to the young man. Hopefully we will see him in the purple for many years,

Such a bad loss is not a good start for Freo.Good to see Reids first game.
Long season but recon the top 4's already set.
No Sydney or Port Adelaide or Freo.
Geelong,Collingwood, Hawthorne, Brisbane.
Every time i watch Liam Reidy in the Wafl.He looks like a,potential Afl superstar.But flops when he plays.

Collingwood lost by 52 points last week and you are call them top 4 after 2 rounds!

TFAF Collingwoods loss v GWS .Was in 32 degree weather with 90% humidity.
No Melbourne based team can win in thoes conditions.They just dont train in thoes conditions.Half the side cramped up midway through the 3rd qtr.
Dan Houston will be the recruit of 2025.

Mid 30s at Alphabet park and humid,Didn't make a difference to Geelong.
Freos preseason should have had us ready for that.
 Freo players were cramping late in the third  quarter.
I admit, we were chasing our tail in the lat. they played with them.
But our forwards really do need to defend a whole lot better.

Another long season for both local afl franchises it seems.

Cant wait until WAFL starts, seems to be taking forever,,,,

That  was my take on what I wrote on my own page.
Gave the ball carrier far too much space everytime they ran the ball out of defence.No defence at all from the forwards.
No wonder the backs conceded 23 goals.
Only a few deserved a mention as being ok for the game.
