Fremantle are looking good , on the training track at least , at the moment.
From all reports the youngsters from last season are all putting in special pre seasons. Growing into their young bodies. All bulking up.
Johnson looks very much like he is in the running for a role in the mid field. More than likely round one.
Erasmus is another apparently looking good.
Amiss is another that will bring much needed forward line work. All look classy.
With all the press reports asking why there were so many players leaving, I believe the club is stronger now than at seasons end 2022.
Lobb wanted out from the day he arrived.
Meek, sadly was never going to get a chance , especially with the arrival of Jackson.
Tucker was getting lost in the influx of youth. He was a good servant of the club.
Acres, had one good seaso. But there are a few younger who will give more football wise and giving to the club.
Logue could be missed as seinmen are hard to come by. But, where did he fit in the back line? Was he ever going to make it as a forward? I think not.
Every club moves players on at certain stages, Fremantle is no different.
I am excited about where the club is right now, and believe I will be more excited as the season progresses.

Agree Anchorman, given a reasonable run with injuries Fremantle should be aiming for a top 4 spot this season. As you said Logue is the only player who has left who the Dockers would have liked to have kept but the replacements have strengthened the team further.

The Midfield and defence is as good as any in the competition. Some decisions need to be made about the structure of the forward line in order for them to really push for a flag. Taberner is a good target when he is out there, but he does miss a lot of games through injury. They have quite a few clever small forwards such as Switokowski, Schultz and Walters but they need some tall fast guys down there to at least bring the ball to the ground. Will be interested to see what Josh Corbett from Gold Coast has to offer.  With both Darcy and Jackson in the team, one may also spell in the forward line as well. Nat Fyfe has also played a bit as a forward and that might continue but if it does I hope he is working on his kicking for goals!

I think Amiss will add to the bigger bodies up forward this season, though he is probably a couple of seasons away from his full maturity body wise and football wise.
I also believe that the strengthening of our miss will add more up front pressure, making more opportunities.
If Tabs stats fit, then he will benefit from the mid and forward improvement.

Yes I forgot about Amiss, he will be great in a year or two. The way he stepped up in that final against the Doggies was evidence that he has a great temperament.

Exactly,  but most will not be missed.
I would have liked to keep Logue, but fully understand why he , and most left.
