Very exciting to see the announcement that young Jye Amiss from Busselton and East Perth will make his debut for the Dockers on Friday night. Probably a little bit before expected due to injuries and COVID but looking at some of his WAFL highlights he looks the part. Kicked over 50 in the East Perth colts last year apparently. Good luck to the young man.

Looks like an obvious talent but I’m already concerned about another couple of Fremantle draft blunders in the making. Liam Henry has to be the most overrated player in the AFL and makes a mockery of his pick 4 draft position. Carlton dodged a big bullet there, they bid on him with pick 4 and forced Fremantle to make a decision. They should have let them have him. He’s not even doing anything special in the WAFL.

Neil Erasmus, I heard a local journo say before the season started he needs to work on his disposal. FMD top ten pick and he needs to work on his disposal? I’m not impressed. Thank farrrk Matt Johnson was still available when pick 22 came around.

He did ok, first kick goal and ended up with 2. He is a tall player but really needs to bulk up a bit so he can compete more often in the one on ones. The first was good but after that he was a little easy to push out. The really good thing abt him is his work to get to this point on the track and in his other life, really good person.

Very much agree with your comments of Henry. I saw him live last year and thought what are we doing playing this 70kg kid? We have another one too  - Western. Makes you wonder about the selectors. I do like Erasmus though - he is a natural footballer, seems to know where to find the ball. I did notice he sprayed a few last night - Might be tough coming on in the last quarter with a dewy surface and ball.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Sorry there's no such thing as a natural footballer who can't kick.
