Agree with you there Anchorman.

I do not get why people leave early, yes it is not good when your team loses, but watch the game out and support your team. Obviously some people have a valid reason, might have something to get to after the game, but i am not a fan of people leaving early because there team is losing.

I do have members seats and only go to a couple of games a season, each time I go i am reminded why i dislike going. The ignorant fans are the worse and the people that sound as if all they come to the footy for is to bag out their own team. It is disgraceful (espeically from the WCE fans), all that helps me now is having my radio on as loud as I can.

BTW since I am commenting on this topic Ross Lyon is a great coach. He was at Stkilda and he is doing very well here at Freo. Winning is winning, sydney was bagged by there style of play, they havent changed it too much and I would say they are one of the best teams to watch, you know it is going to be a good game, good contested fighting football. I see freo turning into that aswell (as a WCE supporter it is a bit weird seeing freo a lot better than us) but hey if WCE dont win the premiership id rather a non victorian club win it.....and what better non victorian club than another WA club. So i am supporting them (after WCE that is).

Yes i have also noticed it is the more older people who are leaving early.....and i still cant understand why.

Wow i cant understand when they leave early and it is a belting.....so i sure as hell cant comprehend the leaving early during a cracking game just to get a good seat on the bus. Here is a tip, watch it from home. guarantee it is more comfortable (plus the beer will be full strength).

Annoys me a lot more when these older people leave say just after half time (like WCE v Rich), there are people waiting years to be able to take their kids to these games and these people are leaving after a half, it is dissappointing. I just hope when the new stadium is built, these people cancel their memberships.

BTW nothing more satisfying than seeing your team after the game whilst listening to the team song being blared out the speakers. Or watching the WCE mascot dance to Eagle Rock at 3qrt time. Priceless.

Soprano and A/man here is a challenge for you: why would anyone who has supported a WAFL club for decades, in some cases, suddenly decide that would no longer support their WAFL club once the Eagles came into existence? Similarly, it happened, to a lesser extent, when the Dockers came in.

Agree with Anchorman here, obviously the Eagles coming in would have taken a few supporters from the WAFL, but I think that they would still be supporting a team in the and then their main focus/support was for the Eagles. When the best players from the WAFL were made to make the Eagles, I am sure a lot of people had the same thinking in rather than trying to watch every game of WAFL to see these players, why not support the Eagles and see them every week against the best the VICs had. I still follow West Perth and get down to games as much as I can, but I support the Eagles a lot more.

on a wet, sodden, water-logged subi, freo slogged out another hard fought victory. though the final score lined resembled a half time score line dockers fans were reported to be happy to get the four points. it was also reported that many of the crowd had to be woken after the game by stewards and moved on.

Well the day has just begun we are 7 hours behind perth. I watched 5 minutes of the last and agree freo's pressure, chasing, tackling was excellent. They are mega defensive, but cannot kick goals. The likes of hawthorn and Geelong will smash them. Geelong will beat freo next week easily. It is good to win but I think you should do it with style atleast some of the time. Also you want to win with integrity - what was the fuss after the match with regards to Ryan Crowley - did he not behave himself today? He has a bit of josh Carr about him.

Don't think Geelong will beat Freo easily next week, they will do well to beat Freo at all. Think Freo will win this game, barring more injuries.

After the game Crowley and Boomer Harvey were having a discussion which looked a bit more than the usual "well played, good luck next week' style. It didn't look very friendly and my guess was that they were probably discussing Ryan's tagging tactics.

Must admit I couldn't lip read what they were saying so I am going a bit on the body language there. Harvey looked pretty cranky right through the match and my feeling is that he may have had enough of taggers generally. Scott said after the match that he did not see anything untoward in what Crowley did, so maybe this is saying more about Harvey's mindset at the moment.

I actually was thinking that Crowley was going to follow Boomer into the North Melbourne change room, then why stop there? Follow him out to the airport and make sure he gets on the plane to Melbourne. That would be taking your tagging job seriously :P

Well Geelong will be even more fired after their shock loss to lowly Brisbane. You say freo JB. Lock it in. I think Geelong at home will win easily. Of course this is all speculation, we will have to wait and see what happens.
