No great surprise really. Misfired from the start and never really got going. Stood out of footy for a year when GWS wouldn’t release him from his contract and got out of shape and never really recovered. Thought he looked a lot leaner at the start of this year but then collapsed at training one night which has since been diagnosed as epilepsy.

Given the financial strain on AFL clubs now has probably forced Fremantle’s hand. Wants to play for SF. Hopefully he can just enjoy life and footy again without the pressure of the AFL bubble.

Another piece of the Lyon jigsaw is removed

Jason Carter has been shown the door too....at this rate Belly, Garlick and Longmuir will be the only one's left.

BC I think the high performance manager or whatever his title is should be shown the door as well. He’s been there at least 10 or 12 years and I reckon we’ve got one of the poorest records on managing player fitness and injuries. It’s like a hospital ward down there.

I couldn't agree more DD and I think Joel Hamlin will also. Jason Webber or similar is the high performance guy in charge of rehab and certainly this year it's been a disaster. I'd also put the microscope on list management staff when you look at the successful second comings of DeBoer and Sam Collins in particular but also Bennell, Langdon and co. Freo do get a lot right but they're also well know for being hopeless at other things and those areas are certainly front and square.

The Matt de Boer delisting was one of the great mysteries of Ross Lyons tenure. Was a player ideally suited to Lyons game plan, was as professional as anybody in the league, and had been a worthwhile contributor for Fremantle. Was dropped to the chunder and clearly showed he was too good for WAFL level. And then delisted for absolutely nothing in return whilst others of lesser value remained for a few more years ie Danyle Pearce

High performance manager Jason Weber been shown the door along with assistant coaches Anthony Rock and Michael Prior. Good move we need fresh faces throughout the football department. I think David Hale and Simon Eastaugh might be the only surviving coaches that served under Lyon. Will be interesting to see who the replacements will be.

Huge shake up within about 5 days, two players shown the door along with 2 coaches and the high performance manager. Something had to give. In my opinion Weber should have been shown the door a long time ago. I can’t remember the last time we had a healthy list.
