Hutchings would happily have gone back to East Perth, except for the fact that East Perth couldn't afford him because they had blown a fortune on Josh Smith (who was originally from the West Perth zone) when Smith was dumped by North Melbourne. East Perth made their own bed on that one.

Having said that, I reckon it's been a win-win for the two WAFL sides. Of course, East Perth will win in the long run, because he will end up there next year and they won't have to pay a cent for him.

yep...that's one of the things about the alignment that really sucks...Subi go through the exercise of recruiting Callum Sinclair from Victoria, pay all his relocation costs, sort him out with a job etc then all of a sudden he's gone to EP...where's the fairness in that?

yeah but BC who will get the draft money when Sinclair is upgraded from the rookie list?....wouldn't it be Subi?......thus if that is the case surely 35K would pay for his relocation costs.....are Subi paying his wages at present?....not too sure where Subi are out of pocket.....though at present the player is just a rookie isn't he?....thus to some extent I see your point because Subi haven't received a dime for him yet......hey you guys might get Johnson or Smith in return if they don't want to hang around at EP for the merger next year.....
