Here are the finding from the WPFC Breach of Salary Cap. Full article here

www.wafootball.com.au/wafl/3605-west-per...-cap-breach-findings

In Short

Following a comprehensive investigation into the issue, the WAFC has found that the breach was a result of a genuine administrative error in which the Club failed to take into account players’ salaries during one round of football in 2012. In reaching its finding the WAFC also noted that West Perth had self-reported the salary cap breach.

As a result, the WAFC has applied discretion when determining the penalty and for the 2014 and 2015 seasons West Perth will lose 10 points each year off its total player point allocation, reducing the total amount to 120 points.

Sorry Cardy, the WAFC is a joke. (Not having a go at WP.)

I recall that Perth's "administrative error" the Club was fined $25,000, finally reduced to $10,000.

These "administrative errors", if they are genuine, should be all dealt with some leniency, mistakes happen.

But a bit of consistency would also help.

And obvious rorting has previously been ignored.

Well what can you say about the WAFC/WAFL that is good? You would of seen my post on the Tribunal re WP Melee players getting a $20 Fine and the Perth Players Melee a $50 fine? The tribunal let alone the WAFL have NEVER been consistent.
Your point about the Perth Fine for their Administrative error $25000 reduced to $10000 is certainly different to the Penalty given to WPFC.
They have never been consistant and we all know that and it is another example of the WAFC/WAFL BEING INCOMPETENT

I agree with the penalty to WPFC in 2014 and 2015 and it will hurt because of the alignment comming in and the players that will be available. Dont know how we sit with the points table at this stage. Maybe someone could do their sums and advise?

With the Alignment comming in and Peel and EP getting the AFL Players the points system has basically been dumped and is unrealistic anyway for their two sides as each player they get from Freo and WC would have to be 10 pointers  if you catch my drift.
Getting off topic a bit but just wanted to make my point.

I can understand Brett being happy with the decision because 10 points a year should not effect the club to much?
So we go from 130 a year to 120 we should be able to work around that. Hopefully it will not make the difference between a quality player and a Middle of the road player.

Know where you are coming from Cardy.

The whole alignment was appallingly handled as points & salary cap have not been addressed.

There does not seem to be any thought given or process followed prior to making these decisions.

Hey dont worry mate I was in a Signals intelligence unit at on stage and it was our motto...It is the only Latin I know besides our Corp of Signals motto

Certa Cito - Which translated to Swift and sure.

I am a Mt Hawthorn boy myself. Maybe the WPFC should take the R A Signals motto on board hey :) Interesting point though as I am sure a couple of the WAFL clubs do have a bit of latin in their logo's.. EP?

Not sure

Where are you comming from Before the Bounce?????? :woohoo:

Being a Vic Park boy I would guess he would follow the Raider which is a junior club in the Perth zone. Have played against that lot for many a year they would be the biggest bunch of show ponies getting around. The walls of Lathlain are virtually crawling with them!

Why should the latest episode be any different to what we have come to expect from the WAFC.

It is a complete and utter joke.
