I have returned from a Trip to Egypt...On a recruiting mission for EPFC. No luck as no one wanted to play for them. Great to see we won the First Derby easily.

Heres the Injury list for WPFC as at 4 April... doesnt look to bad so far. Listened to the WAFL WORLD broadcasts today on 91.3 from ep 1 as have been away. Glad to see Hutchy is not on the list as Brett did say he was having a bit of a Hammy prob in the 2nd show. Just made AFL ranks as he should and this happens. Lets hope it was a minor problem. Looking forward to SF game Friday at 0645 and then Ressies and Colts on Saturday starting at 0945 Colts and 1145 Ressies. Gotta support the boys and Ressies..Its a Grand Old Flag

ps glad to see I rose from 20 spot to 8th spot on the Footy Tipping comp considering I had to put them all in before I left the country 4 weeks ago.
Long way to go and great to see most of the regular posters in the comp.

X Jessy at the club Sala is out with General Soreness. Captain Courageous will be back soon.
I dont think Jason will like being a spectator but sure the team will win the game for him..

SF came back well but sheezus the maggots gave them a fair old push in that 3rd term, 13 to 3 free kicks and there was nothing out of the ordinary. It was a case of one ump paying kicks and at the other end the same indiscretions were not being paid, anyway we got the 4 points and our 3rd consecutive win !

Sorry Leedy but we were certainly outplayed in that 3 rd qtr.. From memory it has happened before. Maggots had nothing to do with it both ways.
We were certainly winners in the first 2 yet SF keep us close enough to win.
All up a pretty bad display of footy by both sides.
Last qtr was a cliff hanger and great finish. Cant say best side won as it just came down to who was in front at the siren.
The SF flooding pissed me off but that is an old tactic that did not enable us to play our game. Kris Millar tried another old tactic of dropping a WP player and no problem with that as I have seen it work before.
All up we got the 4 points and with Peel who ran a close second to the Benchmark of the comp EF a week ago and Claremont comming up it could be a handy 4 points.

Let the games that count begin :) I see us as a final four contender at best.
Long way to go.. Gee we missed Sala..Hutchy has a suspect Hammy lets hope the injuries dont kill us like they did SF last year. One ruckman who is excelling but thats all we have. Its a worry Leedy but will take one game at a time

One thing I have noticed about WPFC is we always have a shocking qtr. Usually the third where I have seen us over the last few season see us lose a game while well up at half time. Dont know why..SD seemed to come out and kill us after half time a couple of times where the game was in the bag but that is just one example.
We have actually been in front at half time but a huge margin to see other clubs come out and get in front yet in the last qtr we lift and eventually win the game????
Why is this?

Just an example from Footy Stats

At Joondalup a total of 7 matches have been lost by a team who won 3 quarters. In Round 21, 2012, West Perth lost to Subiaco by 2 points despite winning the first quarter by 26 points, the sceond quarter by 2 points and the last quarter by 12 points. Subiaco winning its only quarter, the third by outscoring West Perth 8.3.51 to 1.3.9.

Cardy, I beg to differ, Souths played well (as mentioned) but I challenge any side in the comp in gaining any momentum when thwarted by the umps time and time again. Souths played the ducking of the head tactic and the dumb shit maggots got sucked in big time, along with the double goal !

Dogman, you have bugger all to whinge about mate ! You blokes had 4 genuine maggot assist goals last night.

I dont know about Souths playing well and the same can be said for WP :( Scrappy game at best. SF had us toasted in the 3rd qtr but was it because WP went down a cog?
Anyway off to watch 2nd half Colts and Ressies at Freo. Interested to see who is performing in our Reserves. Will try and give a bit of a report on that game with any MID players. All the best to both sides and lets hope Pauls Sanzones side can get their first win up. B) Great day for Footy.
Might even drop in at EF oval to watch that...Shark pit beckons..
