I remember Big Bas going straight through that Hawthorn ruckman Don Scott in one S of O game over here (after a stirring pre-match Frothing rant in the changerooms when Basil told his teammates that he'd KILL any Vicco that got in his way hahaha)
Scotty absolutely shat his knickers and went off if I remember

Also remember Brian Peake & Basil colliding at full pace in a Fremantle Oval Derby and both got broken legs out of it (geez I still recall the smack from in the members coz it was right in front of the rooms) and were later in Fremantle Hospital together

massive crowd that Derby , but that was usual fare with such star studded sides

Actually I think Jim Krakouer said once the only two fellas he wouldn't take on were King Maurie (very very good Pugilist) and Basil (very big white line fever big game specialist who could play don't worry about that)

Mind you I think Basil scared most of the league hahahaha including us at times!!!!
