Big game for both clubs, winner will be in 2nd spot and a opportunity to start getting a bit of breathing space. 2nd to 8th is a game in it, unbelievable season thus far.

And it is the Garlic Munchers Cup... SF beat us at FREM last meeting first game of the season and a lot has changed since then. It will be a close contest with TC's boys needing the win. TC will certainly have plenty of knowledge on the WP background.

It appears SF have the wood on us at HBF as well but only stats and every game is different.

Seeya at the Game

Great win by the boys, I thought there was going to be a riot when Hams, Scloithe and White got goals early from ducking head high tackles, there were about 5 paid in the first qtr. Bill spent about 2 minutes in the qtr time huddle explaining to the boys how to counteract it and it worked.

It was a hard fought game in the League... Not a great spectacle to say the least.
Bit like watching paint dry and it was just a matter of who was in front at the end

Glad Bill put Marcus Adams in the Back line as it was a game of Defence by both sides and he stood out.

9.17 was shocking kicking by our forwards but some of that must be attributed to SF Defenders. 3 Goals by Kody was certainly handy and he played a brilliant game as usual

93 Marks to WP and 76 to SF.. Made a difference...

The 4 points is welcomed though and very very handy.
I really think we will have a Go v Subi next week. Bill will have to do some work on positions and match plan for next weeks game.

Some of the skills today were once again questionable sadly and several of the boys seem to be struggling with their execution also
Marvellous 60 metre kick outs by Marcus, although short direct kicking is a struggle for him, his turnovers in this area need adjusting before next weeks test. His marking in defence is second to none and a treat to watch as was Stijkys game all day every day.
Kody Manning clearly best on ground today along side matt gaudy
Mannings goal kicking and run was wonderful , his run into the forward square is surprising and deadly ....and I'd say he's kicking into another gear into this second half of the year - one player that NEVER gives up....and a crowd favourite at WP
I'd love to see the umps make a stand with this dropping of the knees and head high frees....I don't care who does it as its a blight on the game and sadly there are several players making a mockery if its application and rewards ... Maybe trying a basketball wall against them might persuade them otherwise ( oh sorry, I mentioned basketball and AFL in the one sentence) or maybe just get Manning to give them a HELLLO tackle or bump would sort them out..
Keitels no way ready to call the league a comfortable place yet and much for him to learn - he has courage but his boot was a failure and points don't make a finals berth a certain, just a scary place to play from
Blacky does not look comfortable out there at this time .... His stats are backed up by the kick to kick handball to handball games between he and Nellie and some of his decision making in past weeks is concerning - something he'll need to improve on this week against the million dollar club... He has it in him, just needs to hear the team heart beat again
We are standing very tall considering the injuries within the ranks and this says much for the team in general and the coaching squad headed by Bill

I wonder how many 10 point players will be on the paddock to push against Us and with international round it's gotta be a big big day!!!!
