My comment relates to Blackie’s focus on his MATE, he in fact neglected to mention any other person/player other than HIS mate; this does not seem to me to be Team orientated?

I agree that the WA media can be a joke when it comes to over-all reporting of the WAFL and is perceived by and large as to be run by the AFL power brokers or at the very least the Eagles / Freo mafia boys, etc but it doesn't help to write a syndicated column presenting a school yard retort to appointments made regard’s State selection and journalistic merit, not when you just lowered the flag melodramatically yourself.
Blacky got this media opportunity through being the Sandover Medallist , not a WP honour but from a paper with state wide distribution – he needs to honour that position with less self-interested endeavour’s especially in media print! Yes Perth Now are also a sponsor but do you think a player would have been picked for this weekly column without the mantle of WA Sandover Medallist above his head??

I’m obviously uncertain what the job description was when Blackie was given this media access and maybe he’s fulfilling the required parameters, but these parameters in my opinion require change if his column is not to become a boring anecdote on personal & WP trivia.
Bill writes eloquently in the Joondy Times – a local rag (no disrespect intended) so pointers could be given there - Not words in mouth but the route for intent.
Blackie could raise the WP flag within the column as a starter or final comment but also discuss general week’s football, from the inside – a player’s perspective on training, juggling work and footy, handling injuries, the cost of injuries to a team’s line up and playing structure blah blah working as a team – these being an interest for all I would think.

Freezins observation re this should have been written on WP site Vs State paper has obvious value and I agree (shit did I say I just agree with Freezin hahaha), as is his allegation of interest to anyone except Blackie his mate and WP fans is likely CORRECT .

Lastly – I look forward to Kuenen showing Johnson how it’s done on Monday – not for any other reason than he is the better ruckman. I think Johnson perceived work on the field is in fact at times due to his size and manner & his lumbering physique – in other words he stands out! (new can of worms??)
And of course I hope we whip the Eagles butt and every one of the AFL upstarts gets a resounding smack!!

Sadly wont be at game this week - work commitments, even on a holiday and thanks to the WAFL no real media presentation of this DERBY exists - thanks wankers!!
Ill have to rely on the WAFL stats site - lets hope they can get THAT right

Growler KIX is broadcasting the game on digitial radio... Yep no frequency as digital only and they dont have a live stream either on the net.
I have a digital radio and found it via the search.. Havent heard them before or even know the commentators Will give some feedback on it if they call the game.

Just another strange decision by the WAFC but that doesnt surprise me. A radio station tha t doesnt have much if any public access.. Why they got rid of 990 beats me as they always gave a good call. Even a live call on the WAFL website would of been ok as part of their Apps etc.

West Perth will welcome back powerhouse key defender Marcus Adams to play his first game since Round 3 after he suffered a hand injury. He will further strengthen the Falcons' defence and to make way for his return Mitch van Berlo hasn’t been able to hold onto his place in the team.

Former East Perth colts player Tyler Keitel could make his league debut against the team he left leaving the Falcons and Royals embroiled in an extended wrangle over his clearance, that eventually came.

He has now played four matches in the reserves with West Perth and split his team between playing both as a key forward and defender. He has averaged almost 18 possessions a game, taken some strong marks and also kicked three goals last time up against East Perth.

Speedster Kris Shannon is on track to come straight back into the West Perth team after missing the win last up over East Fremantle while Corey Chalmers and Blake Wilhelm continue to play well in the reserves to press their claims for a spot in the league team with the Falcons.

Its such a shame that once again those that aren't in the local range miss out on this DERBY, in this day and age what does it say about a governing body that's cant even offer that to its public??
It happened last year as well and the lack of urgency in this are for improvement by the WAFC is obvious by its neglect.
A couple of mates are going so I might be able to get a half time and fourth qtr account
