Some remarkable Eagles Reserves 'possible' inclusions to our oppositions squad/team for the game on Monday - Foundation Day :pinch:

While all the hoohaa is being focused on the Freo Derby _ and well done by I would presume 'both teams' for the outstanding effort of marketing and family value add additions to that days game incl the entire event spectrum, the game we at WP have against the Spoils oooops Royals is going to be of the highest order and one that they will be looking to redeem themselves from.

If they don't their season looks march darker than what was anticipated at round 4-5 this year

“Clutterbuch , Mitch Fraser, Mark Hutchings :P , Xavier Ellis, Scott Lycett, Dylan Main, Patrick McGinnity, Matt Rosa and Jamie Bennell might all be among the players to come in and play for East Perth from the one that lost to Claremont prior to the State game” (quote WAFL site)
The additional eagle’s players while unable to bring team loyalty and team passion to the field (demonstrated by past struggles in this year’s games and GF x 2) will certainly be bringing AFL preparation and specialized 5-6 day weekly training to the fore

For WP, Markus Adams is a likely return along with some excellent selections from our reserves and our 2 buoyant State player's
Nellie & Kuen's I would think would like to show (not that they have to to us at WP) that a certain gaffe was made by overlooking them from last week’s state squad - on that note EP’ths lumbering Lurch's game will be of special interest to many not a EP follower.

I couldn’t conceive of another bizarre lack of effective inside 50 penetration to achieve the goals intended to be as bad as their last two weeks ?? …. And with that our team should have no illusions they will have to be playing at their best (not unlike the effort against EF, a 4 qtr game) to show the Eagles R’s up again, to be made even sweater as it’ll be at their home ground.

Many an eyes viewing will be thrown across the EP supporter base to see how many they muster on this Foundation Day event – and as I would hope they can command a decent number of attendees I would also like to see an abundance of WP followers do just that and support the boys and the Derby Day game.

Besides ..-.. The food and bev is cheaper there than ours hahahahaha and the senior boys at the service areas are always polite and cheerful ... no matter who you are - even a WP supporter.. :)

Growler,

says a lot “Clutterbuch , Mitch Fraser, Mark Hutchings , Xavier Ellis, Scott Lycett, Dylan Main, Patrick McGinnity, Matt Rosa and Jamie Bennell might all be among the players to come in and play for East Perth from the one that lost to Claremont prior to the State game” (quote WAFL site)
The additional eagle’s players while unable to bring team loyalty and team passion to the field
Although Fras is an EP player as I Freddie and both are very loyal to the club team.

Looking forward to the colts game to see if we can do the deed again.

good luck to the players on both sides.

Yes the colts game is in many ways unspoilt by the AFL for any club and are always viewed with more than a little interest ...

I also agree - Good luck to all the WAFL players on the day

Good article by Blacky on Perth Now and I agree with all his thoughts on different issues and I am sure all WPFC supporters agree along with supporters of other G7 clubs.

In part

We now turn our attention to the derby on Monday against East Perth. We managed to get over the top of them last time and we are now looking forward to the challenge on WA Day. We are hoping to put together a four-quarter performance this week on a big occasion and I think if we keep playing the way we are with a bit of flair, and run and carry, and keep working hard for each other, we’ll win the game. That’s what we have been doing and you can’t ask for anything else from our point of view. We just have to keep performing to the best of our ability and hopefully everything works out all right.

hmmmm I've read this article, re read and then read a third time to try to get my head around it - honestly.
I'm sorry but I will have to play devils advocate here on this article....

Yes there are some interesting points made but generally this article is sadly a little self serving
Geeeeezzzzz and a little long winded (not bad coming from me) on the 'mate thing' .... 'I wanna play with my mate!!!' shit blackie - grow up son, 2/3rds of an article dedicated to me and my best friend is questionable..

Showing a misunderstanding of the team management process.... is fine for a young man, BUT NOT SPLASHED IN MEDIA PRINT
The State team selectors and coaches did not handle Nellie's exclusion at all well, as with other selections as discussed here in differing posts already.

If a finger should be pointed - point it there.

ummmmmmm and its always a great idea IN PRINT in a paper that's State wide to smack an 'actual journo' for perceived inaccuracy of reporting - shit mate, that's almost every week - a little sensitive me thinks ..... .... but your young ;)
Sure we can banter/collide/distort/malign each other here and often this is the case.... but this site in its reach is a little smaller and less likely to create an image that's difficult to remove - and of course we all have our AVATARS and pseudonyms to protect us.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone in authority or a mentoring role might give Blackie a little advice on how to NOT write an article that if read without WP glasses (no offence intended Cardy) could be construed very very differently

As always - this in my observation and opinion.

Lastly:-As I said earlier Blackie is a very talented young man and is on a learning curve through his life, sport & journalistic en devours...We can all reach for improvement - daily.

Growler I think you are a bit Harsh on Blackie.. His article in my view was well written and he was was having his say in regards to his WPFC team mate. Nothing wrong with that and written in the True WP spirit. It shows our guy are a band of brothers and willing to put it on the line when it comes to their Team mates... This is why we are winning games because our players play for each other and Fark the media.
The WA Media is a joke when it comes down to reporting on the WAFL and they are just doing their job to make waves for readerships sake.. Cant say the same for Chris Pike who I have noticed alway writes his articles with a well balanced view and doesnt go over the line.

But we have given our views and every one to their own opinion. I respect your comments but agree to disagree...

It will be interesting to read and listen to the media if we lose on Monday :( It will be about the BIG TURNAROUND at the EPFC.. 1 game and they will be back on track.

Now not being biased but looking at the EP selections or should I say EAGLES selections it will all come down to that. But Subi and WP have shown that a Team of Champions can always be beaten by a Champion team.

The State game will have no bearing on the result and it would be a Joke to say it has but some seem to think that way.. Watch the media come up with a line that reflects this.

As I said to Freezin who seems to think it will be a game that reflects the State game somewhere along the lines of a revenge game is certainly well out of order.

Let me refresh your memory with his post and mine

FREEZIN SAID

be interested to see what happens in the EP v WP game on Monday.....a lot of WP boys are still bitter for Johnson being preferred over Keunen last weekend.....be a lot of egg on face stuff if Johnson has a blinder.....though Keunen is a great competitor and doesn't often lower his colours.....

CARDY SAID IN REPLY

Come on Freezin I respect your posts but you have certainly made some sweeping statements and assumptions in that post.
WP players wont have to prove anything and Sure Chris and Nelson has moved on.
No egg on any ones faces and the WPFC will just play the game at its usual tempo.
I am sure the thing most prevelant in the EP Eagles minds will be the last time we met and the State game will not enter their minds.
Being mainly Eagles anyway they wont even be thinking of it as a WAFL game but their Home club WCE and they selection prospects.
Johnson got picked and that is not his fault. Knowing Chris and Paul neither will run on to prove the State selection was wrong or right but just to do their job as they both do.

Anyway time to move on and talk of the game. :)

Cardy.....if Black was writing on the WP facebook or club website than his comments would be "written in the true WP spirit"....but he is not..... he is writing for Perth Now, so his biased view shouldn't be seen, viewed or heard....the general footy follower doesn't give a shit if he wanted to play for his best mate in the state game and didn't happen...yeah the WP fan maybe, so put it in on the WP site......as growler says he needs to improve his journo skills some what and it is a learning curve.

As for our little banter mate......when referring to the WP boys being bitter.....I'm talking about the WP fans not the players....the WP players haven't whinged or moaned on here about Keunen not playing and Johnson did....only the WP fans....thus I stand by my comments I hope Keunen kicks Johnsons butt.....if not it will make your moaning look a bit silly......but lets move on as you say WA won and Johnson had a great game on the day
