I wouldn't think as most SELECTORS have picked us (wp) to win in the Budget that this game against Swan's will be that uneven ..

I hope for a good contest, which they normally are, a good crowd which should happen being a public holiday game but who know there's a game?? (THE WAFLs done little to promote it that I'm aware of but I may be wrong) and its in the hands of the players to lose or win - as always

I like the memorabilia section this week and the ANZAC TRIBUTE

The remainder of the Mag I am afraid lacks any real bite and apart from whose playing and what time etc 'that's about it'

Maybe I hope for too much but a shame it cant be more of a Weekly Mag
enlightening/interesting/collectable/etc etc

I realize that this is probably not the right thread to air my complaints, but I'm just following up on Growler's post.

You probably all remember The Westside Football newspaper. It was a good read and I looked forward to it every week. But it died a death. It did resurface later on but it didn't last.

I used to get the Football Budget each week from my local newsagent so I could read it before I went to the footy. Now I can't do that and when I rang the publishers, Media Tonic to ask why, they told me that they stopped selling at the newsagents because they didn't sell enough copies. Now they give it away free with your entrance fee to the footy. Go figure.

If I don't go to the footy now, I get a friend to get me a copy free at the game on his wife's entry fee or I drive down to Bassendean Oval if there is a match on there to get a copy.

The Bouncedown magazine is no longer sold at newsagents. If you want a copy, you have to ring Media Tonic who will send you a copy and Direct Debit you. How do they do that? Or go to their office next to Subiaco Oval and pick up a copy.

I've raved on a bit, but I just wanted to agree with Growler with some complaints of my own on just how little the WAFL do to promote WAFL football with something as simple as a weekly magazine.
