Hi All, Just wondering if anyone attended the GM last evening and if ant news came out of it.

Harro received life membership. $5000.00 profit, around $5000.00 forecast profit for next year. New clubrooms will be completed 2016, tenders go out early 2015. Club is to introduce a spirit of mateship program, details will be released soon. Purchase a paver will be available when new clubrooms are being built. Three year deal with channel 9, the channel 7 deal will happen but they need a sponsor. West Perth will wear the channel 9 jumper during telecasts. The club did a $300,000.00 turn around from season 2013. Current board retained. All members agreed that West Perth have a stable harmonious board that are dedicated and have a vision for the club.

Surely if Channel 7 telecast gams they wont be allowing you guys to be wearing 9 as a sponsor???

Couldn't see why not. Seems to be just another sponsor, like all the others.

Don't think it will be an issue, ABC never had an issue with East perth wearing the 7 logo.

Only difference I guess was that ABC are not concidered a 'COMMERCIAL' Station

its probably why all sponsorship needs to go before the WAFC so there is no "ambush" marketing by companies..

all we need now is for channel ten to sponsor perth. That would put the cat among the pigeons.

West Perth signed up with Channel 9 well before the WAFL started negotiating with Channel 7. The club has made it transparent to the WAFL who have given approval.
