great win by the boys today in all grades. well done. Hopefully we can jump start our season again. Wouldn't be surprised if Kody is drafted next year. His style suits the rough and tumble of AFL.

Up to qtr time we looked a bit shit, but after Bill gave the boys a good old fashion spray they finally woke up! he was right in saying that our defense was lazy and lacked any urgency and this is why we sit in 5th spot.

After that the boys took control of the game and never looked back, I like the way we are now playing Koons and Seva in together, this works well..

Congratulations to all 3 grades for the trifecta, looking forward to the Swannies game.

I see Greg Harding at the game. Manning must pull up sore because his tackling and hard hitting was exceptional. Good to see young Johnson getting back to form with some good goals. Roddas 5 goals was handy and Adams in the backline was a good move. Strijk kicked a ripper goal in the second quarter and his sweeping in the backline today was spot on. Potentes knee doesn't look good. Good to have two ruckmen, its about time. We play Swans next week and it will be great to catch up with Swandog, top bloke. I had to put up with Cardy today, shit he's a funny prick with his opinions and comments on the game and the world. A few more people like John, this world would be a better place. ONE MORE THING. Was a great win by the boys today. Ronda is going to be a gun. He and Adams are 2 big units. Manning goes as hard as anyone in the wafl. Strijker must be in front in the sandover ATM. I thought Johnson's game was great. Also how long is jones and Kerr contracted for, they are very valuable players for us.

If the surfs up, one will hang around and if no job top opportunities come from East the other will also hang around.

I agree that Bills qtr. time address was one out of the box .. and it worked. Our backs in the 1st Qtr. had me so worried we were going to let this game slip

Great to have a forward target with Rhodda standing tall (literally) and taking the strong marks needed and cracking the goal sticks apart with 5 wonderful goals

Jones and Kerr certainly stood out and Guady is such a strength to be added to our team - in his own style and way he is a brilliant leader and takes the game to the level required

Lastly, Kody Manning - my goodness when this guy hits/tackles you can almost feel it in the stands - his courage, speed and attack on the ball is fearless and has to be the highest quality offered in the WAFL at this time. His forward pressure and ground work is more than just special. I love to watch him when he's hot on the ground and I'm sure he puts more than a little fear when he's about.
Cant imagine the bruises he must endure weekly (mind you he gives more than he sustains)and the amount of RADOX he must soak in ....

On to next week now when we will break our home grounds hoodoo and take another step toward end of year success.

Leedy it was a great talk by Bill and I must admit one of the best I have heard him give. I walked out thinking Here we go Bill will talk to the boys in a low voice and give them a few stats etc. Have heard it a few times when were going bad and always walked away disappointed at his reaction. We always got the Be Proactive rather than Reactive shit etc But not to be

He had a go at the backs attitudes told the Team it was one of the WORST displays of the guys since he had been at the club. He made them realise where we were at and made a special point of their Lethargic efforts in that they appeared to be standing back and just watching the game rather than getting in and supporting their team mates and they appeared to be LAZY
They were running off SF players rather than attacking letting SF control the game and He was NOT HAPPY (In a slightly raised voice that for a change we could clearly hear) Well at least we didnt have the blaring music we get at Joondalup where it is a waste of time trying to listen to the coach.

He really got stuck into them and I thought yeh ok Bill they will let it go over their heads as is usually the case in previous games but HEY they did as instructed and we blew SF off the park. I noticed Growler mentioned this point in one of his posts and what really pissed me off he would talk to a individual player re the way he was manning up on his opposition player and low and behold the player would just run back on and make the same results. I have heard Bill tell the Team to kick long with the wind and just get the ball forward and what happens they kick short and do a lot of handball contrary to his instructions. Sure enough we would lose that game and not control the game.

I have given you a brief rundown as a lot more was said and it was All constructive by Bill but as I said I walked off thinking Oh Well we will see if it works and instead of playing like a MOB of individuals they played for the team and their team mates.
And results answered my question

It would of been a good one to record.
