Yeah but we all know if you guys had the money Kraks would of played for you boys this year......irrespective of his knees, age and motivation......he only went to WP because of more money MO.....not because SD changed their train of thought and saw the obvious that the fella was past his sell by date.....you guys only dodged the obvious bullet because you are shite at your number crunching!

well there is some karma in life as the bloke that helped put us into debt was the key driver in recruiting Krak and Spencer to West Perth - Parker..he is the bloke that didnt understand about gst and super as a CEO.

There is a country footy club I believe doing massive penance and payment for overlooking Super.

Swans are paying 15k a month to the ATO due to past stuff-ups by CEO's and the board at the time but that is getting off topic.

Krak agreed to a deal and job with Swans, people then got in his ear and he got offered more elsewhere - if he had stayed at Swans he might not have seen the year out either as his mind was not on footy since his last year at Collingwood but at least we didnt pay 15k like West Perth to find that out.
Spencer wouldnt have got a game for Swans this year ahead of our young tall backs Howard and Latch so Swans couldnt take the money quick enough.

not luck of the draw at all, if you develop from within at least you know what areas to address, your local kids might turn out better than your imports and we have been burnt on this in the past as well.

Ollie,

Turn it up, Freeze makes some valid points. Kraks would have played for Swans if the offer was right, in the past 4/5 years SD offer would have been spot on but you got doped with your money handling, which leads me to your current side running around. There is no way in hell SD would be playing all the young guys that have done so well thus far, your hand was forced and the blokes that left (if they had stayed) would be playing right now.

Lets not go down the "At least we are playing our local kids" path because it hasn't been a policy of SD for many years. Be grateful that it has all panned out well so far because it is out and out pure arse the position you currently find yourselves in !

Leedy never let the facts get in the way of a good story. When we recruited the vast majority of the players who left after last season it was to try to get some quality and depth into the club. At the time we were struggling with both our league and reserves teams.

I don't think anyone here has suggested anything other than the obvious fact that with the exodus of players after last season it provided an opportunity for some of the younger players. However, it should also be pointed out that we actively promoted a lot of our colts' players last year and gave them the oppportunity in the reserves and league. This strategy has obviously provided a sound basis for our successes thus far this year.

42.....kudos to SD for landing on their feet in their current mess, more arse than strategy I reckon. Simply if the club hadn't botched their accounting, all these good youngsters you talk about, would be playing reserves at best, with the odd league game here and there. There is no way hell that Harding wouldn't be playing his big earners in Kraks, Twomey, Robinson, Roach and Hilda any where else but your league side.....

As per request 42 - Cary(EFFC) Geappen -(Clarence), Jukes - (EFFC), Davis - (North Shore) ....not too sure why you wanted me to give you something you already know mate ;)

Freeze did Cary actually play at EF at all, Jukes maybe played Colts there?
Both Cary and Jukes have been at Swans since 2011 after coming from Trinity/Aquinas (via Attadale JFC).
Surely with your continual whining/banging on about EF's lack of forwards you wouldnt have let those 2 young boys go ...surely????
