got a text from a mate of mine. andrew played two games of football in the last two weeks and they weren't with west perth. so, if that's true, I would assume the club has released andrew.

Interesting if true? So did the Amateur club give WPFC $15000 for what we paid SD for him plus the match payments we paid him?
If he played for another club without Clearance they are in big trouble.
Big fines and possible premiership points?
Seems the Knee injury wasnt a problem then?
Lost interest in WAFL footy he said..Yet playing for a amateur side?

Will be interesting to see what comes out about this.
If WPFC did give him a clearance to play after what he has done cannot see why they would do this? :(

Lets hope it is just a rumour..

Yes I'm rather perplexed as to what's happened. It is obvious the 'knee injury' is a good excuse to exit from the Wafl. Reading between the lines, there is no interest in playing. If said injury was a problem, playing with the amateurs' would be out of the question, wouldn't it?

Played with Bassendean on Saturday and they wouldn't have played him if he wasn't cleared.

Cardy, no rumour mate, this funnily enough is indicative of our season thus far. I am resigned to the fact this season will just pan out in similar fashion to the first half and we should be happy to have won the flag last year, we may as well concentrate on the Foxtel Cup and try to get 1st/2nd to assist next years season.

Totally agree. I think the club should release a press statement because a few things don't add up with me. One, the club refused a release and now he's playing. Two, the situation with Yarren, I heard he's playing at Bassendean as well. Did Maddington clear him. ????????????

thats what happens when you go and recuit old blokes from Swans like Spencer and Krak instead of promoting your own reserves who also made the GF last year.

then why did SD turn down a young bloke in Garlett MO?....one obviously in need of guidance.....would of thought, if SD had money, they would of eagerly signed up Kraks and Spencer at the start of the year, especially with Twomey, Hilda, Roach and Robinson leaving.....

just luck of the draw I reckon....everything SD is touching at present turns to gold....fingers crossed for you boys it stays that way....the law of averages says other wise though.....

Swans didnt turn down Garlett, he elected not to commit to the training required to play WAFL footy.
Krak agreed to a deal and job with Swans, people then got in his ear and he got offered more elsewhere - if he had stayed at Swans he might not have seen the year out either as his mind was not on footy since his last year at Collingwood but at least we didnt pay 15k like West Perth to find that out.
Spencer wouldnt have got a game for Swans this year ahead of our young tall backs Howard and Latch so Swans couldnt take the money quick enough.

not luck of the draw at all, if you develop from within at least you know what areas to address, your local kids might turn out better than your imports and we have been burnt on this in the past as well.

Lets just hope WP win tomorrow night & are assured of at least 40k to help offset the Krakouer deal.
