Disappointing for West Perth, from watching him at Bassendean on Anzac day he had lost none of his footy smarts but he had certainly lost his zip and by the end of the day the Swans defenders were running off him. The recent knee injury was a further setback and he obviously felt that his contributions would have been limited for the rest of the season. He was a successful AFL player for both Richmond and Collingwood, but his biggest achievement in my book was the rehabilitation from prison and subsequent stellar performance in 2010 where he dominated a season like few other individual players have done. It is a credit to him that he was able to turn things around like he did with the support of the SDFC. I wish him well in retirement.

I agree totally - it's seems in his letter to the club honesty was paramount and forthcoming ..
The man is a credit to his family and his culture and to himself
Good luck Kraks

I could see it from day one. The guy was never interested. The club tried and gave him personal training and A LOT OF SUPPORT.
I for one did not agree with their little Ego booster in letting him play League when he was not ready and others in the Reserves deserved to be brought up. But in hindsight I could see where they were comming from and thought he actually showed something in his last League game for us.

His decision and as one poster said hopefully there was some small print to enable to get back a bit of our investment and TRUST in him.
Strange as not on injury list yet they were saying a Knee problem yet we had gone through a bye etc and 2/3 weeks without a game.

All the best in the future Andrew as if this is your attitude after our club Threw everything at you and supported you and yet you decided to RETIRE.
Hmmm will be interesting to see if you reappear in a country side on a large pay packet????

The good news out of this is someone else will now have a chance.

BYE
