I believe it may have to do with new Work commitments and possibly a very good future for him and family - but I believe Jason has retired from competitive football
There should be in my opinion an organised farewell at the 1st home game in season 2014 at the home ground in Joondy for Jason

He likely not to want anything but the least might be a carry off the field at the end of the game by the new captain and new vice captain with his team surrounding him??

Jason has red and blue balls and a fantastic servant to the club. I'm sure the club will do something for him, he deserves a flash farewell. Teddy will captain club. ???????.

Salacic was a great player for WP who was good enough to play in the AFL in my opinion. He looked to be hampered by injury in the last 2 years but still always gave 110% on the field!

Great player, great career, West Perth's version of Josh Roberts for mine, a hard at it honest ball winner who inspired his club and now a premiership Captain. He can sit back, relax and polish his 2 flag winning medals deservedly!

Would you prefer the story appear in a Tuesday edition that sells very little or the Saturday edition that sell more than twice as many copies?

Would have thought it is better exposure for the comp to not only have a story in the biggest selling paper in the state but also a big colour photo.

Very good servant to WA football. Always admired the way he played, fair and tough.
