The 2012 West Perth Football Club Annual General Meeting will beheld on Tuesday the 11th of December 2012 at 7pm in the Premiers Suite at the Arena Joondalup.

All current 2012 West Perth Football Club financial members are welcome to attend.

Three new Life Members will be inducted on the night. Be there to congratulate Anthony Tsalikis, Geoff Swan & Mal James when they are awarded Life Membership to the West Perth Football Club.

Members are invited to enjoy some fellowship once the meeting has concluded.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Firstly, thank you to all the members who attended the 2012 Annual General Meeting last night at Arena Joondalup. We greatly appreciate your support of the West Perth Football Club. In particular, congratulations to new Life Members Mal James, Geoff Swan and Anthony Tsalikis. Whilst the overall tone of the meeting was positive, it was disappointing to post a loss of $30,000.

Our Treasurer Basil Musca summed it up best when he forecast that 2013 is going to be a challenging year financially. Our football club is going to need all members, supporters and sponsors on board assisting if we are to get through unscathed. Our Club and competition are facing challenging times with the new AFL partnership model currently being discussed and proposed for 2014.

My point here is that we are going to need every West Perth person to join the West Perth Football Club and show support now more than ever. It’s crucial that we get your support and find ways to increase our membership and sponsorship. The financial environment is challenging, but there are ways to assist.

For example:

* Each WPFC member resolves to find one (1) new financial member for 2013. (2 is better!)

* Each WPFC member finds a local business and forwards a contact to the Club for possible sponsorship.

* Each WPFC member approaches friends / Falcons supporters about Club membership or refers a friend's business to the Corporate Classic.

*WPFC members form a group to help Sponsor A Player.

* WPFC sponsors look to increase their annual contribution, or refer a business colleague to the Club for a sponsorship package.

* WPFC members or supporters form a small syndicate to purchase a player at the annual Player Auction.

* All members look to attend at least 1 Club function next year.

The key here is communication – help spread the word! Ring the Club, log onto the website, send an email, write a letter, send a fax or drop in to see us. Please tap into all your networks and look for ways to support the Falcons next season. We need you now, more than ever.

Finally, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all loyal Falcons.

Well done Astro and Welcome aboard. Seeya at the game (ok not the Peel or EP games at their home grounds). I will not support either club in any way.. I will be going to Joondalup though to support WPFC.
