I just finished watching the game on Blue Ray, good game. Screamer bitched about the umpiring, he has a point, from what i observed it wasn’t the decisions the umpires called, it was what the umpires missed on both sides. That happens in all games so, it was just another game. In my opinion the three holding the ball decisions in the last quarter were correct because West Perth held play, i think Bill instructed the players to stop play and then set up. I went into the rooms after the game, Bill addressed the players and at the end of his address Bill did say the win was so much sweeter because a couple of Swans folk said to Potente that West Perth were Shit. Bill did spray out with a couple of expletives. I have to say that Chris Keunen is a soldier and Crisp is a Toreador. Anyway it was a good game of footy.

MO we all know you are not a fan of Harding but do you honestly believe our game plan revolves around disgraceful field kicking, handballing to players willy nilly even if you arent aware they may be under pressure or in a worse position, the lack of & or the complete lack of forward pressure applied by our small forwards & the lack of our players competing in the air & just letting WP players mark uncontested???
As those are the 4 reasons why we lost by 3 points on Saturday!
If you do believe that is Hardings coaching philosophy then you obviously have not heard Harding speak at all!

Harding - is that the guy the players take no notice of every week ?
he must be a really respected coach if after 2 and a half years the players ignore his instructions every week..
poor selection doesnt help our mid-field, Rogers had to play as another target up forward, with Geapps held after 1/4 time we continually bombed it in to smalls..
Monagahan coached well in running our defensive talls out of the play and getting goals thru their smalls and mid sized players

Other than Webb at Claremont which WAFL clubs players carry out their coaches instructions consistently from week to week to week?

East Perth do, Daws has turned them into a good outfit..
and we could have had Daws back at the club this year if Harvey hadnt done the dodgy deal last year..

as a supporter i expect my club to appoint a coach that at least gets players to follow instructions, after 2 and a half years we dont have that so i feel as though i have a right to be disappointed at our performances...

It is time to move on from Daws MO ..No one has more respect than me for B.D but he now coaches our major enemy down the road ..& if our current players are not following our current coaches orders than that is more of an indictment on them in my books as the club is bigger than any one individual!

i have moved on from Dawson - just giving you an example of a good coach who was able to get players to follow his game plan..

BH - why do you think the players dont follow the game plan ?

In regards our small forwards & their lack of defensive pressure it maybe a touch of laziness, but as a whole I think to many of our players are wrapped up in how many possessions they get every week especially backward of centre!
We are consistently having 50-100 more disposals than our opponents every week, are #1 for disposals in the WAFL & yet sit in 5th position on the ladder with a record of 6-6 ..and yet I consistently hear Harding say he only wants minimal handball in our chain of plays!
