Australian pitcher Liam Hendriks has agreed to a deal with the Chicago White Sox that will land him almost $70 million and stands as the largest deal signed this MLB off-season so far. Interestingly he is the son of Geoff Hendriks who played for West Pert back in the late 70s / early 80s.

Great story Winger....good on the fella, apparently he was a half decent junior footballer as well...looks like he made the right choice career wise....Wonder if his dad will tap him for a couple of mill to help out WP....not as though it's gonna dent the fella's bank balance much....70 million....and he is not even a starting pitcher from memory, he is the one who closes out the game....crazy money
