As much as I dislike Essendon, and this was way before ASADA, have to be impressed with the way the team go about it, with some up and comers that look good , Heppell already Zac Merrett on the way etc. If they maintain their form of the past few, they will be making the 8.

Collingwood are struggling, they are lucky GC have lost Ablett as they would be out of the 8 very soon on form, if GC stood up, which I'm not sure thwy will now.

Very disappointing against Bullies, with all the excuses, No Ablett, hard game week before etc, but Bullies backed up with one days less rest and beat them.

Enjoy it while it lasts, the Bombers will be using players from Bendigo once ASADA finishes with them the clock is ticking.

I'm with you there kirbs, my dislike has nothing to do with the ASADA incident. But credit where credit is due. It may be my bias against their 'golden boy', but I reckon Bomber is a better fit for their club.

The way the whole ASADA thing has played out I would put good money on ASADA placing the Bombers on the register of findings or whatever it is they call it the moment finals action is confirmed for the Dons. ASADA will not let the Bombers proceed in to this seasons finals without any attempt to bring the Dons campaign to its knees, regardless of the courts decision. If Players do get banned right on finals I would expect Essendon either tie it up in court so they can play or alternatively will not field a team. How many players can you drag up from the rookie draft if 34 players are banned??? If they do get banned and i was in charge at the Bombers I'd get the banned players to show up on game day, take their positions on the field and see what kind of reaction the AFL get when they call the game off. Will never happen I know but would be a show of unity amongst the players for how they've been treated by their employer!!!

Cant see this happening as AFL TV rights come up soon. If Essendon field a sub standard side then no one will watch on C7 or Foxtel when they are televised. The only winners are the legal pros. Bendigo are not involved with Essendon seconds anymore. Essendon will get off to protect the new TV rights. A bye will cost nearly $200mill pa in TV rights. Its about MONEY, not premierships.
