“The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage's statutory planning committee decided on Wednesday that all the Eagles teams could keep playing games at Lathlain despite the council's position.“

Looks like the Dept of Planning pulled rank over the TOVP councillors. Commonsense prevails and crowd capacity has been approved for 6500, previously only 2000 for Eagles matches. Never knew that.

When their reserves team came into existence in 2019 it was stated they would play all their games at the grounds of the other WAFL clubs. In other words no home games. Is this still going to happen. It doesn’t sound like it. They are the masters of changing the rules as they go along. Then again it’s pretty easy to do that when they control the WAFC.

6500 sounds like standing room only. Not a lot of parking at lathlain now that the second oval is in. Took me ages to find a park when Subi played perth this season and there was barely 1000 punters there.

The plus side for the PFC is if they get up to 3 WCE games at lathlain they will have the opportunity to make some good money from packages, bar takings and other hospitality options.
