thought it took time to earn respect DF?......more fool other clubs if they don't respect any of the opposition come match day.....I'd be saying feel free to doubt us.....nothing more enjoyable than a few 'under the radar' wins.....4 points is 4 points, who gives a toss how you get them......respect is over rated......just keep doing what you are doing and the respect you seem to yearn for will come!

You make a good point freeze but I think you need to put DF's statement into the correct context.

Every week since round 1 opposition teams have been posting how Perth need to match up on this guy and that guy, how Perth need to conter this play and that play, How good this player and that player are performing.......etc etc

Very rarely does an opposition poster ever say we need to watch that Perth player, how are we going to keep that guy contained, The centre breaks from Perth will hurt us etc etc.....Hell even Perth supporters are still more concerned about opposition sides than our own!!

I think most subiaco supporters are worried about Perth and would rate the Demons as clear favourites for the game. The truth is Subi aren't playing well. It would take a big form turnaround for Subiaco to win. We have some great kids coming through but there just isn't enough quality in the 30-100 game bracket.

Hinch our reserves side has also been in pretty good form this year. They knocked over claremont in a thriller couple of weeks ago. Will be a big test for your boys also.

I dont look at it as a lack of respect, the fact remains you look at the opposition and the players that could cause damage and you tag them regardless of where you are on the ladder, as much as KT seemed to struggle under a tag at Perth ive also seen what happens when he gets off the leash, he looks like being Subi's most damaging midfielder and the stats seem to show this.

The good thing about Perth this year is we have a very even spread of contrbuters every week, and thats been our strength this year.

Any coach worth there salt would look at the strengths of the opposition teams and work out how to best counter them and i think thats exactly what some Perth supporters do when summarising an up-coming game!


I really dont know what you mean by other teams show us no respect...on many occassions this year teams have gone up against us with certain match-ups on players...they dont have to be in your face tags all the time.

I think you've hit the nail on the head PN! The lack of clear standout players (with a couple of exceptions bevan, stack smith etc) it has been an across the board effort from the team which would make it difficult for an opposition coaching team to pin point where to shut down.

Don't have a problem with tagging JKT just don't need to make a big think of it.

As Lucifer has said we are very good side with all players generally contributing, even blokes like White are looking like very good WAFL players.

Sorry 30+ we are a top 3 side and my expectation is that we will stay there. We have been very good in all 6 games. There aren't too many sides that are 2 goals away from being unbeaten.

Fellas did Deaves play against Claremont? This may be his first run tomorrow if the team finishes up as listed! He has had a steller start to the season in the ressies and would definately add more goal kicking potential....And he could play a KP down back as well IMO.

When will we finally get a look at Johnston in the firsts.....will it be tomorrow?
