Clint Jones has called time on his career. Was a very good player for a very long period of time at WAFL and AFL level. Below his the statement released from Jones.

“Thank you to the Perth Football Club for providing me with the opportunity to play here for the final years of my career.
Over these four years, I have seen the club grow and a group of driven players be developed.
It has been a great place for me to be over the last few years. I know the club is on the verge of something good moving forward and achieving results consistently will happen.
To our loyal supporters – thank you for being there week in, week out.
Earl and Marty – you guys have been tirelessly driving the club in some exciting directions and I look forward to seeing what comes of the foundation that have been laid.
To Yeoy and the leadership group – I know the boys are in good hands with you all.
I would like to finish by again saying thank you to the Perth Football Club for your support over my time here. ”

Congrats to CJ on a fantastic footy career at both levels. From what I saw he extracted everything he could out of himself and can leave the game with head held high.

Sad to see him retire but time marches on.
Thank you CJ for your commitment to the cause.

Started out as a wingman & worked pretty hard to improve his skills under Johnny Dimmer - so much so that he got himself taken to Viccoland not all that long afterwards

Fantastic player for the PFC over the past four seasons. I'm really saddened to see his inevitable end come. I thought he brought performance standards previously lacking at our club and for that we should be eternally grateful as he's one of the some who have put this club on a path it hasn't been on for a while - a path to success.

This takes us one step back in recruiting already.

Great career and well done - the type who extracted the very best out of himself.

CJ has been a great servant of our club and football generally. A great player and leader over the past 4 seasons.
Hope to see him in some off field capacity at Perth next season. He has so much to offer. I would hate to see him lost to the club.
Whatever happens, thanks for the memories CJ.

CJ is irreplaceable no matter who he would have played for. His work rate is off the charts. He is the ultimate professional and I hope he is retained in a coaching capacity. Was an honour to see him represent the Perth Football Club. Thank you CJ and I wish you all the best whatever your new endeavours.

Really hoped he would play on. To play 75 out of a possible 78 games for the time he was at Perth is fantastic. Up there with Ross Young and Paul Bevan as fantastic recruits the last 10 years. Would be nice to have two gun recruits at the same time with some longevity. Best of luck CJ in all that you do.
