For Perth fans, I thought I would do this little thread to find out your views on Ross Young.

Would you put him in your 1986 side?

Personally I think that a Ross Young in his prime would have won us a couple of more games this season which would have seen us play finals. I'll say the current team Ark.

From memory AR Perth's midfield in 1986 contained the likes of Robert Wiley, Bryan Cousins, Adrian Barich, Mark Watson, Joe Santostefano, Brett Yorgey, Kim Fancote, Lindsay Carter, Mark Hibbins etc with possibly Chris Stasinowsky, Steve Lally and Willy Dick running through there at times as well.
Ross Young I think despite playing in a weaker WAFL compared to the pre-WCE days would have complemented that group, this coming from an opposition supporter who spent a bit of time at Lathlain Park in those days.

Mr AFL, BH, thanks for your posts. I am with you both, this little thread, was a good way to pay tribute to Ross Young. One, can, see, too, why the Perth line up of that era made the preliminary final -- it had a fine running brigade.
