How would Perth fans view the late Rhett Baynes and Earl Spalding as players?

The late Rhett Bayens played 77 games for the Demons from 1980. A big lad with tons of ability. I think that he was only 17 or 18 when he arrived at Lathlain.
Got signed by Carlton and taken to the AFL. I have no recollections of how performed over there but, sadly, there were some issues and he did not realise his full potential.
Earl Spalding joined the club in 1983 and played 83 games for the Demons mainly at CHF before going to Carlton. Won a premiership as a back man for the Blues in 1995. He figured very prominently in that game.
Returned to WA and coached the Sharks and the rest is history.

I thought Rhett Baynes was more a Ruckman than CHF at Perth (1980-84)?
Earl was definitely CHF in 2 of those years 83-84 maybe Alan Montgomery was before him.

Montgomery was a very good player but I think it was Carlton who grabbed him away eventually

Rhett, from memory, had a very big responsibility in the side at a young age.

Before Spalding played at Carlton he did play close to or over a 100 games for Melbourne and after returning also played in a flag for the Sharks in 98 before coaching them.
