Must admit I was a bit surprised when Corey Yeo was made captain at the start of the season after just one season at the club. I would have thought Michael Sinclair was the logical replacement when Clint Jones gave up the captaincy but I know Sinclair hasn’t always been certain to play due to career priorities so maybe he declined. But I think Corey has grown into the job now and is now leading the way and proving to be a good choice as captain. Just maybe no more Hawaii five O comments and pumping up young players in the media he thinks should be drafted. Leave that to the experts Corey but keep up the onfield work you are turning out to be a fine recruit for this club that craves success.

Perhaps Perth should increase Yeo's match fee making him an even better leader and footballer DD....apparently that is what leads to success...good on Corey from leading from the front and Earl having the faith to back the fella....

I beg to differ DD. I think he has demonstrated really poor leadership at times. Body language at times is terrible, remonstrating with team mates at times and while consistent in terms of possessions I’d question impact and effectiveness.
His uncontrolled spray directed at our forwards at 3/4 at Joondalup a few weeks back was embarrassing and visably upset a few team mates.

Interesting comments Baseline in particular about a spray at our forwards. I would have thought at times it’s probably warranted hence the likes of Bennell and Narrier have been dropped. The body language of those two has stood out like dogs balls. We can’t have blokes that don’t put in.

In my view we need a leader like that who will demand a higher standard. When the game is on the line it’s blokes like Yeo that step up and set the example.

I agree DD. Yeo has stepped up and I don't mind one little bit that he gives his teammates a spray when it is needed.
CJ did the same thing when he was captain and still does it. Although he is no longer captain he is still a leader on the ground.
It is just what has been needed for so long. No more mollycoddling players who aren't putting in. They have to put in or move out.

At a Club like Subi I'm not sure they would survive long.
They would be shown the door.

There certainly is a mixed bag of thoughts about Yeo as captain. Initially I was surprised the job didn't go to Sinclair. Or even Leggett - I like the way he goes about things. But I also wasn't upset over the Yeo choice either. Speaking to some supporters in the stands some are saying it doesn't appear as if Yeo is doing much on field. Rogers can be heard from the grand stand geeing up players and getting over to players and giving praise. But Yeo can not be seen or heard doing these things. For mine - hes doing ok and if he is giving slack players a spray, fine but maybe do it behind close doors.
