So it all comes down to this.

We have called many games the most important in years over the past couple of decades but this one is the real deal.

Don’t worry about whether we deserve to make finals or what will happen next week we just want to return to finals action!!

I’ll think we’ll do it and what’s more we will finish 4th. That means, as in 91 we will have to play a stupid elimination final that we shouldn’t have to but ...ok let’s not get ahead.

An unchanged line up for the first time in 3 months? What kind of a side are peel going to put out?

Go Dees!!

If Peel win they'll most likely be assisting WCE so hopefully they won't be on full throttle!!

STD I'll be watching your game closely and hoping your mob get over the line, as for the "stupid elimination final" if it was a 4 team finals and you finish 4th, it's still an elimination final and you'd be playing an away game, if you do finish 4th be thankful for small mercies that you get a home final which will be fantastic for your club.

Umm thanks SS. You do realise that if you finish 4th in a top 5 you have to win a game to get to a first semi whereas if it’s a 4 you don’t....

I get what you are saying SS, settle. I just would much rather avoid an elimination final than have a home final which is a reasonable point of view I would have thought.

But anyway we have to beat peel first and thank you for your best wishes.

What is important is the players realise the importance of winning on Saturday and achieve the win and take it out of the hands of chance relying on others to lose. That is part of the growth and maturity of the club in learning what it takes to be a successful club again.

DD a win on Saturday is more important than just making finals.
We are not going to go far into the finals anyway.
A lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes in lifting the Clubs image.
We are not regarded as a destination Club hence players being reluctant to join us.
A final four finish will assist our resume and maybe just change our perception as a destination Club.
Along with everything else happening at the Club.
This moment in our history has every importance as a moment of change.
A bit like our move to Lathlain in 1959.
So win DEES, do yourself a huge favour.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!

What really worries me is Perth only averaging 9 goals on the road this season. I think the most goals they have scored in Away games was 11. If Perth can show the same form they had earlier in the season, they should win easily. A good solid start to the match will be imperative. The weather for game day is looking alright. Apparently partly cloudy conditions and a maximum temperature of 17º or thereabouts is being forecasted by the crystal ball.
