Have listed PFC’s current AFL Listed players (add any I've overlooked) and commented on their chances of pulling on the Red and Back again.

Reece Conca – Fremantle – contracted for another couple of years, performing solidly so unlikely to suit up for Perth in the short term.

Luke English – Richmond – first year on list and had a few injury issues.

Zac Fisher – Carlton – best 22 for Carlton , likely part of their long term plans so a return to Lathlain not on the cards.

Buddy Franklin – Sydney – what a drawcard if he ever returned to Lathlain, but Perth has more chance of winning a flag than that.

Ian Hill – first year ,highly rated draft pick so expect GWS to stick with him.

Dean Kent – St Kilda, transferred from Melbourne at end of last season, had a few injury setbacks but best 22 or thereabouts when fit.

Chris Mayne – Collingwood, was a real chance to return to Perth after a rocky start to his Pies career post Fremantle days. How things can change in a year.

Fraser McInnes – West Coast, hanging on to a rookie spot , be an ideal pickup for Perth if WCE delist. Always seems to play well against Perth!

David Myers – Essendon, currently playing VFL following loos of form, part of their Leadership group and would be a great replacement if Clint Jones retires in 2020

Quinton Narkle – Geelong, looked likely to cement a place in the senior during 2018 but hasn’t had a good run at in 2019 due to injury and the Cats form. Be handy if he doesn’t hold his spot on the list.

Sydney Stack – Richmond, close to being on the Demons list in 2019 now nor likely to reappear for 10 years!

WM -- good post -- the list is a credit to the club, it is annoying that they have not been seen more in red and black. The zone has even produced Bandy whom was a more than useful ruck man especially in a full strength Perth side.

Fraser McInnes.
Where do I start.
While Wiley coached EF I was worried about their chances.
Although Brennan stil there.
Both are Uncles.

What a master stroke from the Eagles.
We will now never see McInnes back in red and Black.
Likely to be delisted
But he will remain with WCE as Captain I would suggest.
The enticement to keep him there.
What a friggin master stroke.
WAFL will allow it.
Even though once delisted he becomes a PFC player again.

An update on our AFL players, probably English the only real chance to rejoin the club

Reece Conca – Fremantle, really solid year with some noteworthy lockdown jobs on some of the leagues best;

Luke English – Richmond, yet to crack a senior game and maybe a chance to be delisted pending final AFL list numbers, sure Perth would welcome him back;

Zac Fisher – Carlton, had an injury interrupted year and found it hard to break back into the seniors , very clever payer and likely to be right in the mix for 2021 if his shoulder injury isn’t serious;

Buddy Franklin – Sydney, didn’t play a game in 2020, a similar 2021 may see the Swans bring out the chequebook;

Ian Hill – GWS, in and out of the side a bit but finished the year with some solid efforts highlighting his skillset and should be a regular in2021 GWS train wreck;

Dean Kent – St Kilda, played 13 games during the season, hopefully can get a finals gig;

Chris Mayne – Collingwood, best 22 when fit, should be back into the side for next weeks final if passed fit;

Quinton Narkle – Geelong, on the fringes of best 22 and a hammy injury didn’t help his cause, a chance for inclusion during the finals;

Jaeger O’Meara- Hawthorn, seems to have largely overcome his injuries and would easily slot into any AFL side;

Deven Roberton – Brisbane, managed a single game early in the season but unable to retain spot in a strong Brisbane line-up - not helped by their short injury list;

Sydney Stack – Richmond, played a few games but had a year he would rather forget, touch and go if the Tigers will retain him;

Elijah Taylor – Sydney, played 4 games and showed a bit before his season derailed.

Potentially another 3 current players to have their names called out in the AFL draft in December.

I think there's a good chance Chris Mayne will return to Perth when Collingwood's season is over. He has already signalled his intentions to come home to WA. Whether he wants to play WAFL or not we'll just have to wait and see.

Interesting DD, he was one player that always seemed pretty loyal and interested in PFC , used to be a frequent attendee at games even after he went to the Dockers

I’m pretty sure his old man Steve Mayne is/was involved up at the club in some capacity.

I'd love to have Mayne back, but I think he's contracted at Collingwood until the end of 2021. That means he would be 34 going into the 2022 season, so probably unlikely he would play on at that age. The only Perth player who may be cut is Taylor, and who knows where his head is at? I think Richmond will give Stack one more chance. It would be harsh to cut English when he hasn't had a chance to press his claims in the VFL, but I suppose if teams have to cut lists, he might be vulnerable.

Yes originally he signed a 4 year contract which would have expired this year but just did a Google search and they offered him a 1 year extension in February this year.

But he has been dropped during this season and started a family and his wife is from WA and their parents and other family haven't been able to see their grandchild so that might trigger him to retire from AFL or even seek a trade back to Fremantle to finish his career.

He has signalled his intention to start a coaching career.
