Every game is a big test for us. Forget the 5 and 0 and ladder position, West Perth have owned us over the past 10 years and i reckon we've beaten Subiaco more times than WP in the last 5 - 10 years. They will fancy themselves and Nelson and Black were in great form in the state game. I believe we need to improve on our performance against Claremont to win this game. No Ninja for 2 weeks so going to be intersting to see who comes in.

Gee you are spot on DD. Perth have lost their last 15 games against West Perth. Their last win over the Falcons was in Round 18 2011 at Arena Joondalup!. Since the Demons last made the finals in 1997. Perth have played West Perth 49 times and Perth have only won 8 of these games. This is a big hoodoo and if Perth can get up on Saturday it will be another monkey off their back.

No reason to approach this game any differently than any other.

yeah I have really disliked this stat over the years since attending again regularly from 2009. I would love this game.

A real danger game for sure against our bogey team. Our record against them at Lathlain is worse than at Joondalup.
I reckon it's been 10 years since we've beaten them at home. I wonder if Stryk will play. He pulled out of the state game due to injury.

Would love to be 8 and 0 when we face the football billionaires in a month SS so I can start the topic with "Someone's O has got to go" lol. Assuming of course Subi are also undefeated. But I am far from getting ahead of myself. I see all games against WP, SD and EF as danger games that if we are not on our game we will get done. We've already rode our luck in a couple of games and lady luck was on our side but we can't rely on her everytime.

I think the last time we beat West Perth at home was in 2003, give or take a year, while the closest we have come during that time was a draw around 2011, give or take a year.

Definitely time for this team to get a home win against the Falcons and get another monkey off our backs.
