It is an interestting debate around McMahon -- I guess it does come down to the degree to which one thinks he should have made the fnals with that side.

Yes indeed Ark. Looking at it that way Blackwell probably had a team in 97 that should have at least played off in the big one - and probably would have if Garrett hadn't decided in the prelim that umpiring meant giving a free kick to Dorotich every time the ball came near him.

Pretty silly of Perth to allow Dorro near the ball then....sad to think SF only won the game because of the umps infactuation with Dorro...would of changed Scott Spaldings life if SF had lost eh?
