Plenty good today,

I am still getting use to everyone's name so wont mention all but Hodge and O'sullivan were my standouts.

I thought Murray was good but dropped a sitter and kicked an absolute clanger.

White threw himself at everything and was good. I liken him to McPhee at Freo nobody liked him but he kept presenting and got the job done.

Teddy reads the ball beautifully but must improve his handball and kicking.

Bev and Chance good.

Reimers very good, hopefully not rubbed out,

Stack off today but kicked a good long goal.

McInnes better in the second half.

Boyel surprised me, and well done.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Yes TFAF, I forgot to mention Reimers, he played well & hopefully not rubbed out. He will be good for us up forward, he's quick isn't he?

Also forgot Hodge, he was outstanding, a future leader at the Club.

Think Hodge may be in leadership group, agree he was outstanding as usual. Fearless as always, rate him very highly.

What impressed me today was the pressure on the ball carrier especially in the first qtr which set the scene for the day, i can't deny the effort that was put in today they had a real crack. I know White had 20 odd possessions but i had my heart in my mouth every time he went near it Ransted as well, surely theres a couple of young up and comers in the wings that could be playing instead of those two.

I heard on the radio on way home white topped our possessions with 29.

He did, but I am similar to PN with heart in mouth every single time, and likewise Ranstead. Suspect they were in to provide experience and will make way for more debutants throughout the year.

He was good, no doubt. Very desperate and hard at it.

On another point I was concerned at Florio's effort on the Wing in the last.

He should be making his move as a senior player now. He did rally from this point though so hopefully a lesson learnt.

BTW apologies to Leon Davis. I reported (on info from a players father), that Leon didn't train hardly at all last year. Today however a current player told me that he trained twice a week.

I will be more careful who i listen to and even more careful what I put down in writing from hearsay from this point.

As far as one presenters go today I give it to o,Sullivan. Heart the size of phar lap in that boy. Likewise my hard at it award went to smith. Love seeing a player grab the ball and go. And the one that got away goes to Fraser. Two huge leaps just couldn't get one to stick!

Fraser was a bit disappointing today I thought.

But only round one, I am sure he will gain some confidence again.

He does move well and has good skills for a big man.

One in front of pigpen was huge, and close to sticking. We would have been talking about it for years! He's not far away though to grabbing a few regularly.
