I agree I think we are moving the ball a lot better.
Good to hear that that continued today.
Not sure we are ready to teach Subi a lesson.
Be nice to give them a run and continue the improving process.

I went into the club rooms after the game watched the boys sing the song loud and proud then Earl address the boys. When I walked out of saw Wolfy looking dejected sitting on the end of a rub down table. I think he was pretty down on himself for missing that shot from about 30m out in the 3rd qtr then giving away a fifty midway through the last qtr.

He didn't have his best day Wolfy but I love the bloke, he's got a big ticker and I think he sets a great example for the younger blokes.

Despite just hanging on for the win I think our players never really panicked or fell in a heap, I think Claremont clearly lifted their intensity in the second half and they started to spread using the wide open spaces at the show grounds.

Our tackling pressure was outstanding today and there would be a few sore Claremont boys tonight.

I still get a little frustrated at times with our disposal.
Today i thought it was our shot on goal that could have cost us the game in the end.
Shots that were not that difficult for league footballers.

That was probably one of our best victories of the past few years imo,we dont have many wins in that time but to win away in what was a tough contest where the opposition were full of running on there home deck in the last term was terrific.

Brookes has surprised me and he took some telling marks in that last term.
I also thought Todd Stevenson in the last quarter used his big body to advantage and busted through a couple of packs forcing the ball our way.

Big tick to SamGarstone, this guy has a heap of talent i just hope that the club realises they have got a great CHF in the making here,a few more kilos over pre season will do him wonders.
Hes definately filling the void in the ruck but for mine this should only be temporary.
The club certainly needs to find a genuine Ruck back up for Angus Graham next year.

It was a great win today no doubt and just how good was Clint Jones and Tropiano today, toss of a coin on who out of those 2 were BOG.

Thanks 30+, here what you are saying with the disposal, particularly our goal kicking.
I think that better goal kicking will come with the self belief that winning brings.
And I think they are getting the taste for it.
Earl is on the right track and placing faith in some of the youngsters is paying dividends.
I too am surprised about some of them in particular Garstone, Stevenson, Marlon, Brookes, Leggett.
We have some potential very good league players there.
Yes get some weight on Garstone.

What's the story with Jared Bell's knee ?
He is an important part of a developing and improving backline

You are no orphan there 30plus but I agree with DF I think as confidence grows within the group individually it will start to show also. Often poor skill level can be attributed to lack of confidence.

A lot of no name players that have been around a few years now are starting to shine through under a coach who is prepared to back them in because he believes in their ability. If you listen to Earl, he is also trying to create a hard edge about them, something Spalding knows too well is required if you want to be successful at the pointy end of the table.

And today I saw all of the second half of the reserves. They came from about 6 or 7 goals down to within a couple of goals but there is some depth starting to come through.

But 2.5.
Stacie needs to be better than that.
Good on him if his pressure as improved.
But we need experienced players to show the way with poise and disposal efficiency.
We can't continue to miss easy goals.
