I thought Rowan Brookes deserves a mention here since I've bagged him and not rated him before yesterday's game. I'll go so far as to say he looked like the class act out there, his ball handling and disposal by hand or foot was first class. The question we were all asking was where has he been hiding this form?

I watched the game when I got home and is it just me or has he trimmed down? Looked a lot leaner than how I remember him and I've hardly seen any reserves games this year. If he has worked his butt off on his fitness then kudos to him because for the first time yesterday he looked like he belongs at league level. Well done Brooksy, keep it up!

Just checked him out on line. Has been playing League footy since 2011. 10 games for East Perth that year. I imagine he would have been under McCale (not sure how to spell it) then and 10 games for EP back then would have been pretty good you would have thought.

Anyway he is the perfect age for a league footballer so maybe this is the time for him. I had to work yesterday and only watched the last quarter last night and the first quarter tonight. TBH I didn't see that much but did hear the commentators talk glowingly about him. Will watch the other two quarters later.

The two quarters I saw had me in a similar position to you DD in that I hadn't rated Wilkins - but thought he looked pretty good yesterday.

A bit of belief and a lot of these guys could do something. Saying that we might get belted by EP in two weeks and everyone will go into their shell again.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Brooksy did his best work in the 3rd qtr which is the qtr that set up the win.

He's been a poor kick and decision maker in the past but on Monday his kicking was first class and he got himself into good spaces on the scoreboard side a few times in that third quarter which set up goals. Reckon he's cemented his spot at Cal Walleys expense for the next few weeks.

A couple other standouts were Dene White playing as a high half forward. His tackling pressure was typically first rate. Looks a good spot for him. Cody Leggett continues to impress as a run with player. He shadowed Riggio and whilst Riggio was pretty good he wasn't the normal beast he is against us. And I thought Carey played his best game for us. That final quarter goal he got busting through the pack was first rate. Reckon he and Etto will get better as the grounds get heavier over winter.
