I haven't been impressed with Giannati but will have another look at him as Dazzler seems to rate him. I don't need another look at Brookes or Stack though. What's the story with Spencer White? Is he playing ressies again this week. Will be interesting to see how Irons goes. Hope Dean White and Tropo can fire for the first time this year. also thought Marshall Jones was worth persevering with.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Tropo looked like he was warming to the task last week against our mob. Might be on to something TFF

Tropiano had a difficult day with the Umpires last week
Frees for 0
Frees against 8

Not sure that number happens too often

Dazzler wrote: Toby Giannati has been an excellent pick up. He is one of the few lock down players in the squad and gets a job every week even playing as a defensive forward on occasions. He kept Jukes quiet last week and then went to Rogers for a while when he got off the leash. He's unfashionable and low profile, doesn't get a huge amount of footy but rarely beaten and I really rate him and see him as an essential part of our best 22.

Agree, he looked a good match up on Rogers. Will be interesting to see if Keast gets a run this week.

Who does Keast replace ?
I am surprised Irons hasn't had a game yet.

Just thinking with EF strong midfield they may need to be contained. Can't think of anyone who deserves to be dropped.

I thought Trops was pretty good last week. Could be interesting watching him and McNamara going head to head.

The key matchups for me will be whoever plays on Jamie McNamara, Liam Anthony, Cameron Eardley, George Hampson and Brett Peake.

Thinking that Bell will go to either Peake or Hampson.

Could Clint Jones play a tagging role perhaps trying to nullify someone while still probably collecting 25+ possessions himself.

The midfield battle will be the key so here's hoping that big Gus can give us first service and we can win more clearances than we lose. Whichever team wins the midfield battle will go a long way in deciding the team that gets the four points in my opinion.

Three of those players I mentioned have kicked the opening three goals for the Sharks.
