There should be a Royal Commission into the PFC. If someone can work out why this club has been a dismal failure for nearly 40 years they can probably answer the meaning of life as well.

Just diabolical yesterday. Complete lack of leadership out on that field at the moment. Not much pushing through in the ressies either. They need to find some answers real fast or its another season gone before a quarter of the season is done.

SF were very impressive. Good balance of talls and smalls, play fast and straight through the corridor like good sides do. Loved the work of the beanpole Branchi. They look the goods.

Classic Catch 22.After the State 18's gave finished,do we promote kids like Cody Kickett and James Bereyne straight to the League,Dazzler?

Or do we give our only side with a chance at success,a crack at Serious Finals action,by keeping them together?

Doubt Bereyne would handle league footy at this stage.

Grassy I'm afraid I don't see the answer in promoting kids from the colts. For one thing, whilst we've got some dynamic kids playing colts this season they are all skinny, mid-size types. Quinton Narkle might be one who could step up to league level. Zareth Roe is maybe one of the bigger boys who you'd like to see make it to league eventually but as good as some of the rest are I don't reckon they are ready to make the step up at this stage.

We have to get better a keeping these kids in the system and transitioning good colts players to league.

I'd rather see them stick together and have success at colts level. They play a dynamic brand of footy right down the guts to rolly polly Bereyne and the mosquito fleet at his toes. It is fantastic to watch. Andrew Ruck is doing a top job with them. Might be better off putting the colts on at 2.15pm on Saturdays from now on.

Dazz I was saying yesterday that perhaps we would see some better footy in the WAFL if the ressies play the early game and the Colts play as the curtain raiser to the league game.
It would be great for the kids to play in front of more supporters and help them feel the atmosphere of senior footy.
Something for the powerbrokers at the WAFL to think about.

It's all about continuity it's ok recruiting 5 or 6 but you can't afford to lose the same amount of your starting twenty two.

Who did we lose from starting 22 PN?
Morton X 2
Payne
O'Sullivan
Collard
Ransted
Billings

Payne would be handy with his outside pace. Actually still on our list.
Sully was finished
Collard..well, he didn't want to play anymore
Ransted..enough said already. Not starting 22
Billings was retired courtesy of the WAFL
Mortons? perhaps would be handy at best.

It takes time for new recruits to gel with existing squad members , no guarantees of immediate success anyone who's been around footy pretty much knows that fact - it will be no different at Lathlain

Ride the ups & try absorb the downs until the plan becomes second nature to everyone - and the new blokes traits become familiar to all

Just got to do the basics well really

Time, I would of thought 30 odd years was ample!

All you've done is confirmed what I said Payne,Collard and the Mortons would walk into that 22 from yesterday and Sully would at least be handy depth , feel free to tell me what's coming through in the ressies.

To go a step further looks like we may need soneone to replace Latch at least Morton would be a replacement and the forward line needs a Collard or Mitcn Morton desperately.

PN, Collard doesn't want to play League footy. Not the recruiters' fault.
Payne is still on our list. Don't know what the position is with him.
Mortons wanted out. Yes would be handy but you cant hold players who don't want to play.
Sully was finished. List clogger.
The club had to move on. You cant go year on year off with a team that cannot win games. You have to unclogged the list, bring in recruits and bring the kids along.
That is what we have done.
As Southerner offers... you have to give it time.
Having said all that our current depth is thin, the Colts boys are very young and need time but we should gradually see some of them break thru later in the season.
