No, he didn't play. He has another 2 weeks to get up for our first game. Fingers crossed.

Dene White, Tropiano, Eyres, Wolfenden all did not play.

Overall I thought it was a reasonable hitout. However need to convert our opportunities in front of goal. 49 shots on goal the last two weeks for a total of 21.28 (154). 28.21 (189) would have been better. If we are to improve this year and I think we will we need to convert these opportunities because against the top teams they wont give you a second chance.

I thought we moved the ball better compared to last season but still have a tendency to turn the ball over in the middle of the ground and kick helicopters when entering our forward line.

It was good to see a tall forward down there that provided a marking target. The small forwards particularly young Callum Walley looked to benefit.

Definitely more of a positive vibe about Lathlain this time round compared to 12 months ago. However it is a long season and as we Perth supporters know a lot can go wrong very quickly.

Watched South on the TV today and they looked pretty slick. Their forward line looked potent between Strom, Saunders and Shaw. They looked to move the ball very fast.

Not sure if West Perth just had a bad day at the office but South Fremantle looked like a completely different team than the one that rocked up for the first three quarters against the Demons last week.

Adam McIntosh, Ben Saunders and Blayne Wilson were additions to the South team this week so they went in pretty much with the same team that played last week.

Could be an interesting match up for the Demons against the Falcons next week. Their first game at home they might be looking to bounce back with a big win.
