IMO it is a little unfair on Perth supporters to have two country games in one season.

2008 was the last time Subi had the bye in the last round.

Perth will be on the bottom of the ladder after round 1.

Carnarvon and Exmouth have been in South's zone for 10 years or more.

I went up to Northam for the state game a couple of years ago and I tell you what that was an experience. I think the whole bloody town was there to watch it.

The best thing is watching all the cars pull up with couches tied onto the roofs!!

I can't be sure grassy but I played a couple seasons in the Avon league in the mid nineties and They had the same ground back then. Like in collie when they had two sides.

Grassy the State Game was played at the new ground (built right next to the old one) in Northam in fact it was the grand opening hence why the WAFL vs VFL game was played there.

Yes grassy it was on the new ground. They had Vince Pendal there doing some formalities as part of the opening if I recall. Definitely not the oval near the railway.

Not fixtures related but the PFC Bar is open from this Friday 22nd January until 1st April. Open from 3pm.
