If we are serious we must show Lawrence the door.
There are 2 others for 8 points with a third at another 3.
I believe that there are points there for us to have a go for Grimley.
With Chance on board there is no reason to think that we would not be in the mix other than a decision not to be.

Get in there and get him at any cost, I believe that success could well have us real big improvers.

IMHO of course.

I think at the end of last season we had roughly 20 points to spend on players.

If Jarryd (10), Mitch (11) and Lawrence (10) are no longer at the club then this means we had 51 points roughly to spend on recruiting.

Now we have recruited Clint Jones (12), Angus Graham (10), Spencer White (10), Stephen Mills (5) and Julian Jacobs (1) for a total of 38 points.

There might be some more points available with reserve players moving on etc... but this is also counteracted with colts players that have moved up to the senior squad.

I'd love to be able to get a goal kicking midfielder and either another key forward like Grimley, or a ruckman. Hopefully we have about 15-20 points or thereabouts left and can get these players.

Looking at players with a points value of two ore more that are in and out of the league team are Ashley Boyes (2) and Rowan Brookes (3). All other players with a high points value played predominately in the League team.

If we are serious we need Grimley.
Find the points and do it.

Do you guys think White is gonna be that 50 plus forward being only 21?...Appears to have all the physical attributes but nothing to show as yet at either St Kilda or Sandringham to say he will kick 20 goals let alone 50 next year.I have my reservations about Watson at EF kicking a load, but at least he kicked a few bags in the VFL this season and at 23 has few more seasons under his belt.

Grimley would be that 50 plus goal kicker for sure....proven at the VFL and mid twenties from memory....whilst EF and Perth would love to have him reckon the pull on immeadiate finals footy at Subi will be a key factor......wish you guys well.....was Bateman even at Hawthorn when Grimley got drafted by Hawthorn?.....

Here's hoping that he can certainly have an impact Freezin. No one is exactly sure how their new recruits will go. One thing I can say is that at least this off season the recruiting appears to be targeting specific areas and needs that the squad needs to fill. That has been pleasing. Now we just hope that they can get a good solid preseason under their belts and have a good run with injuries and see where that takes us.

As for Grimley I hope that the Demons have enough points and cash available to have a serious crack at him. It's not often that a key forward that has kicked close to 100 goals over the past two seasons becomes available. Which ever club gets him I reckon they'll be getting a really good player.

Any forward recruited it totally reliant on supply from up the ground. Perth have recruited well here on top of what they have, EF on the other hand have lost a few but not sure about the gains

Very true about supply up the ground Swandog. Out entries inside forward 50 this year were terrible. I'm hoping skills are high on the agenda this preseason.
